Phantasy Star Online Episode 1: PHW’s Recommended Solo/Government Quests Order

I’m making this list for anyone 1st getting into Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst (recommended server: Ephinea) who want a little guidance how to learn the ropes while getting a gradual feel of the game’s feel and story without being thrown straight into endless TTF quests which is great for grinding, but may spoil the lore seeing all bosses immediately, so I wouldn’t touch it until beating all Government Quests sequentially (accessible in The Principal with an online crew if that stuff matters to you). be sure to read all Rico messages in each area for tips and light lore. I refer the solo mode to what is actually called Side Story in the Hunter’s Guild menu, but emphasizing those quests are accessible only on One Person mode from lobby menu. the Bonus section doesn’t need to play in the order listed but put them in order of area appearance. anyway, on with the list with timestamped links to my PSO Episode 1 plays so far:

Ruins Gov 4-1: The Lost Ruins Gov 4-2: Buried Relics 21st: Doc’s Secret Plan 22nd: Seek My Master (talk to Bernie, talk to Shino for brief cutscene at end of quest before returning to Pioneer 2) 23rd: Soul of Steel - access every computer terminal - after earthquake and Dr. + Eleanor disappear, find and talk to Dr. Montague and Eleanor *if everything up until this point was done right, Sue will appear with Dr. Montague + Eleanor after mag moves 3rd time - when prompts come up at end of quest, choose ‘Rescue Eleanor’ then ‘NO’ 3 times - before turning in quest, talk to nurses + read Dr. Montague’s letter via Quest Board in menu - turn in quest; select Soul of Steel again for full quest ending by returning to Forest + find character on map 24th: From the Depths 25th: The Retired Hunter (talk to Bernie on Pioneer 2 before leaving to Ruins + talk to him again when quest finishes on Pioneer 2, then talk to Alicia to hear quest complete chime BUT go to Forest 2 and access computer terminal there for extra ending) Gov 4-3: Hero & Daughter Gov 4-4: The Tomb Stirs Gov 4-5: Dark Inheritance (Final Boss)
