Educational tools for the children in Ghana were provided by our supporters, who share our cause in providing access to education and literacy in the most impoverished areas. These tools enable children to learn important skills needed for the 21st century and allows them access to an abundant source of information. We are so thankful as these gifts will provide new opportunities for the kids to learn and explore.

Kofi’s Story (Full Video)

Teenage Pregnancy is very rampant in Assakee in Western Ghana. 3 month old, Kofi, has been abandoned by his 14 year old mother. Kofi's destitute grandmother cannot provide milk for him. Pockets of Promise bought a month's supply of milk for him. Watch how he eagerly gulps down milk for the first time!

Literacy allows children to have an opportunity to understand what is taking place around the world. It builds global awareness into a person’s heart and enables them to engage with others in unique ways that are impossible without literacy!

Statistics show that living near a landfill alone can damage one’s life, due to being exposed to many air pollutants, toxins, and high carbon dioxide levels. Many orphan children without anyone to support them not only live near landfills, but resort to eating from them due to lack of food. 

 The dangers of this is that food wastes in landfills produces a large amount of methane. As that food rots it emits harmful pollutants that are 25 times more harmful than carbon dioxide. 

 Pockets of Promise believes that every child deserves an opportunity to live  a life full of opportunity and happiness. 😀🌈
