@poppyxpomfrey
“Up and running or not, Madam Pomfrey, you should not be napping now.”
“I’m pretty sure I can bloody well nap where I like in my Hospital Wing.” Poppy groaned as she shifted a little from her position on the sofa, locking eyes with the deputy head of the school, “What in the world do you want down here?”
❝I– I’m not…❞ he lied. He wasn’t used to people being interested in what he had to say ❝potions❞ he admitted, ❝not the actual potions, but what’s the point of mastering a brew if you still have to write about it?❞
“I think potions is a great subject, although I did not like the subject whilst studying it myself. Potions help me in my work greatly.” Poppy spoke, before then nodding a little. “But the writing about the potion making was my issue too.”
“Does it look like the Hospital Wing is up and running? I’m having a nap.”
❝Apologies ma’am❞ Regulus said with a fake smile, ❝I didn’t realize it was a member of the staff I was snapping at…❞
“I suppose that’s all right.” Poppy could see that Regulus didn’t mean his word, but she didn’t comment further. “What has you in a mood, Mr Black?”
“I’m sick of students treating work like this, because they think we have to mark it. If i can’t read it it’s getting a 0.”
“I am honestly not shocked it would come to that.” Poppy replied, squinting her eyes a little as she tried to make out the scribble that was supposed to be writing, before pulling back and smiling a little.
“Who’s handwriting is this? It’s barely legible!”
“I don’t know, but it’s terrible.” Poppy shook her head, looking at the parchment in disgust.
“Quite frankly, I don’t need you to forgive me, because I’ve done nothing wrong.”
“Now, now.” Poppy made her way over to the seventh year that everyone seemed to be so terrified of, looking at the way that the third year in front of her was cowering. “Perhaps you should leave, Ms Black.”
