The idea of Batwoman getting all gooey over Wonder Woman (while admittedly a blatant bit of fan service) is pretty sweet. I like when heroes are written as people, who can have crushes and petty rivalries. Sometimes even Gods and Superheroes need a bit of levity.

Getting Your Priorities Straight.

My Reasons To Live:

I have an amazing family.

I have awesome friends.

I'm young, full of life and reasonably healthy.

I have a reasonably well paid job that allows me to occasionally get things I like rather than just things I need.

PS4 is gonna be out soon. That will be fun.

Game of Thrones isn't finished yet, and I'd like to stick around, see how things turn out.

Cousins Are Cool On Krypton

So, apparently in some states in America marrying your first cousin is legal, which with my geeky mind invariably led me to wonder if Superman/Power Girl was kosher?

Don't get me wrong, it's not something I want to see, I just think it could set up the most hilariously awkward sexual tension in comic history.

And let's not even get into the awkwardness of what Power Girl is in relation to Supergirl. I mean, Power Girl is an older Supergirl from another Earth. Does that make them clones? Twins? Sisters?

What if Supergirl for some reason ended up married to Pa Kent, and Power Girl marries Superman? That would mean Power Girl's mother in law would be a younger version of herself. 

Comic book relationships just become weird after a while.

(Post Edit: As Silvah pointed out, this is a panel from 'JLA/JSA Vice and Virtue'. It's a cool little story. I highly recommend people check it out. I should have mentioned that in my original post.

But, for people who are new to PRESENTED WITHOUT COMMENT, I tend to just present the picture out of context for the sake of a smile, then post something completely tangential or only loosely related to the pic. 

In this case, I was discussing semi-incestual superhero pairings and their legality, something I wish was a class I could have taken at University.

So recently, on the streets around my house, pigeons have taken to sitting on the middle of the road and staying there, even when my car is coming toward them. They wait and wait until the very last second before flapping away.

Pigeons have learned how to play chicken.

It Has That Effect On People

With recently moving to a new flat, Ikea shopping has become a second job at the moment, albeit one where I spend money and actually enjoy what I'm doing. There is nothing more exciting or cathartic in my mind than an afternoon of browsing and consuming Swedish meatballs.

That said, far too often I see people who struggle to understand how Ikea works. They wander around, lost and scared. But I'm here to help.

The 2 Ikea Necessities:

1. Leave your compass at home at your peril: because apparently navigating this labyrinthian warehouse is a challenge even Sir Francis Drake would balk at. Deep in the closet section there are rumors of tribes of lost suburban families and college students. Strewn all around the departments you will find grown men and women curled up in the fetal position, having given up their search for a way out. Don't let this be you. Bring your camping gear, and at least 10 days worth of food and water.

2. Don't worry about measurements: If worst comes to worst, use that half-metre paper thing to measure that 5m long cabinet. And don't think about how the box is going to fit into your Nissan Micra. The physical laws of the universe don't apply when it comes to Ikea. Hope and cramming everything in so you can no longer look out your rearview mirror are the only things needed.

It's always so awesome to see someone on the more creative side of geek culture embrace with so much heart.
