Magnus- My actual father is a literal prince of hell, and I killed my step father because he tried to kill me

Clary- my dad attempted genocide and experimented on me, my brother, my boyfriend and my mother

Jace- My actual dad was in a cult and left his wife for no reason. My fake dad KILLED ME

Sebastian- my dad made me a monster

Ash- I murdered my monstrous father who wanted to murder me, I fear I am like him

Izzy- my dad's affair emotionally stunted me and he wasn't there when my little brother died and I blamed myself

Alec- my dad don't accept me for who I was and was an adulterer

Tessa- My bio father is a prince of hell and tried to take my children and take over the world. My step father got involved with mortmain-, resulting in the rape of his wife

Malcom- my adoptive father murdered the woman I love, who was also his daughter

Jem- I watched my father tortured to death in front of me when I was a child.

Kit- my father lied to me my entire life, neglected me and then got murdered by demons in front of me

Will/cecily- our father left a literal demon in a box in the house, killing his daughter then gambled away our home

Maia- my dad (and mom) invalidated my experience with my abusive brother

Charlotte- my father arranged a marriage for me and didn't believe in my bc I was a woman

Jesse- my father left me with a batshit crazy woman

James- I will never live up to my father, or fall in love as hard as he did

Mortmain- my father was murdered for who he was, leaving me with an all consuming rage and desire for power

Nathaniel- IDK who my bio father even is, leaving me with a maniac as a father figure

“Oh, yes.” Magnus seemed to have perked up. “Are you the one with the blue eyes?”

“He means Alec,” Clary said helpfully.

“No. My eyes are usually described as golden,” Jace told the intercom. “And luminous.”

“Oh, you’re that one.” Magnus sounded disappointed. If Clary hadn’t been so upset, she would have laughed.
