Instead of "Looked"!!
Oh hey pals, new AO3 scam just hit!
Just like the tumblr scam where they pretend to be "the support team" this is also a scam.
I edited out the link because I GUARANTEE if you go to it you will get your computer hacked and your AO3 or discord account stolen.
I am so mad because I got this 30 seconds after posting a new fic.
DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMS.
No legitimate website support will EVER contact you like this!
(Obviously, this comment has been reported.)
Oh fucking hell... First the scam reviews. Then the threats from AI in an attempt to steal stories. Then Tumblr scams... And now we've got to deal with this on top of everything, else?
Be careful out there everyone.
Trust & Safety Phishing Comments
Date Posted: July 23, 2026
AO3 has recently seen a wave of comments claiming to be made by the "AO3 Trust & Safety team", notifying you that your account has been restricted. These claims are not true. These comments are not being made by real AO3 volunteers and your account has not been restricted.
AO3 volunteers, including the Policy & Abuse committee, will never communicate with you through comments on your work. All important communications from AO3 will be sent through the email associated with your account. More general announcements will be posted on our official social media accounts or published as news posts on AO3 or OTW.org.
If you receive one of these comments, do not click on any of the links in it, reply to it, or interact with it in any way. The links in these comments lead to sites asking you to verify your identity by providing payment information. This is a common credit card scam. AO3 does not ever ask users to provide payment information, and the Policy & Abuse committee will never comment on your works asking you to "complete an identity verification process".
If you encounter one of these comments or believe your account has been compromised, please view the instructions under the cut!
Just sharing this because it's important for AO3 users to read.
Well. That explains a lot.
And now I can see the parallels, I can't stop unseeing them, either. I love it, lol. Also, Zootopia is amazing. Still haven't watched the sequel... sooooooo...
Tumblr sexy man of the year if you people weren't cowards
I love Supergirl. Does anyone know when the movie is set to come to the streaming services like Prime? I heard something about it coming out within the next month?
Favourite things about this episode other than the discussion it raises, the story line, and the mystery?
Van Buren scolding both Lupo and Bernard about their facial hair like they were delinquent teenagers.
Seeing how much Lupo and Bernard care for their Lt. who was struggling/fighting cancer. How upset they both seemed to know that their Lt. was struggling to pay her medical bills.
The dynamic between Lupo and Bernard... I mean, sure I loved Briscoe and Curtis and Briscoe and Green... And Green and Fontana, but Lupo and Bernard are amazing together.
The fact that the boys turn around and say things are going to awkward when they go to speak to Vanessa Carville, only to awkwardly see that Jack McCoy is already there.
Jack McCoy.
How awesome Connie Rubirosa looks.
How awesome Connie Rubirosa and Michael Cutter look together.
Van Buren telling the boys how nice they look cleanshaven after they decided to shave their facial stubble... She acts like such a mother hen towards her children (the detectives working under her).
RaĂșl Esparza playing the role of a shady character before being cast as one of my favourite ADAs across all three of the Law & Order series.
One person can separate fiction from reality, doesnât harm anyone in real life, thinks harassment and censorship are bad. The other scams a real person, whoâs trying to support an artist, and then brags about their literal crime online.
But antis will tell you theyâre the good and normal ones đ
I hope this artist got into a lot of trouble for stealing someone's money. It's probably not the first time they did this if they are this comfortable with bragging about it.
This scene... It is so heartbreaking and the performance is perfect. Will learns that his dad is going to leave again... The heartache, the pain, the grief... And of course, Uncle Will.
This was a great episode.
my favorite genre of krypto pictures
I loved Krypto in the Superman film. Loved him in Supergirl as well... But these pictures, lol.
Ah! PRETTY! DAZZLING! GORGEOUS!
Kudos and love to the artist.
I am meant to be writing for one story but find myself distracted...
I currently have one story posted to my account on AO3 and FFN for the CSI: Miami fandom called 'The Devil You Know'. I have the first scene of the second chapter finished but instead of focusing on the second scene, I have decided to shift my attention to another story for the same fandom that I have not yet posted.
... And I finished the first chapter of that story and am currently half way through writing the second chapter.
So now I am angry with myself because I have to write the story I currently have posted online and not the story that I am not intending to post for a while.
How my writing process looks to anyone who doesn't write
Pretty much this.
now all three together!
Oh wow! Look at this pretty artwork of Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. They look so amazing!
As always kudos and love to the artist!
I cannot tell you what it meant to me to go into Supergirl and see a woman getting to be angry and fucked up on screen and see her WIN. To see her be RIGHT. To see her be Angry and Fucked Up and Not Always Nice but to still be GOOD. I was crying watching it. She's angry, but that doesn't mean she's wrong - Kara and Ruthye both have every right to be angry! - but their anger... doesn't make them bad people. It makes them do something about it.
As a woman who's been told my whole life that I'm too angry, that I need to be nicer, that I'm too bitter and fucked up.... Yeah I needed that.
I loved Supergirl for trying to break down how society views and treats girls and women... and how it is often dictated to us from a young age how we should act, how we should hide our emotions, how we should hide behind a mask.
We need more films and television shows where it tells women and girls that it's okay to express your feelings. There is no wrong or right away to do it. My biggest pet peeve is hearing people telling girls and women that it's 'not ladylike to behave like that'. Yet, when you tell a grown man having a meltdown in a store that 'It's not very manly stomping your feet, throwing things, and yelling...' We are looked at as being nags.
Women are told all the time to 'calm down', 'you don't have the right to be upset', 'you're stupid for being angry'. And we are expected to take it because that is what society expects out of us. I am glad that a film with a superhero in it shows girls and women that 'no, you are allowed to feel something. You are allowed to be angry. Just don't allow that anger to consume and destroy you'.
But, clearly we have a long way to go to break down what society expects of their girls and women, don't we? I can understand criticism of a movie, but when it is outright hatred towards girls and women that is where I draw the line. Somebody mentioned in another post that if it was a male superhero that acted the way Supergirl did, that the audience would have reacted a bit more positively. And I find that I have to agree with what they said because it is true.
Kate Kane is now becoming one of my favourite DC superheroes. I can't stop thinking about her ever since I finished reading Batwoman: Elegy.
Besides, I love her suit. Look at how awesome she looks in her suit!
It was a nice surprise to see that Batman was in the series, too. But I suppose it's not surprising given the fact that the two are family. I can't wait to read more comics with Kate Kane as Batwoman in future!
Also, there needs to be a movie with Batwoman as the main character! I'd sell my soul to the devil to get a whole four hours of Batwoman! Or at least a whole two hours... It needs to happen!
PATRICK JANE & TERESA LISBON Redacted
Ahhhh!!!! I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH!!!!
fandom etiquette as a whole died when people who didnât grow up on fandoms became stans during lockdown, yes, but why am i seeing people openly mocking fics on twitter. why am i seeing screenshots of fics with captions like âbro what is this đ.â why am i seeing people mock fic writers for not knowing how sports or theater or college or any other organization operates in the real world.
âcollege is absolutely nothing like thisâ âwhy are we writing four people on the team scoring a hat trick in one gameâ âso tech work is nothing like this, hope that helps!â
if you donât like a fic, and if you canât suspend your belief enough to enjoy a fic that exaggerates or ignores real-world orgs, you donât have to read it. you donât have to screenshot it and put it on blast for twitter. you donât have to post a link to it in the replies. the back button is literally there on your phone. itâs not giving babyâs first fandom anymore, itâs giving entitled asshole and it isnât as cute as you think it is.
I am so happy that I never posted the fic that I had written when I was an eleven year old girl where the characters were in secondary school (high school). No, I am serious. I thought that high school was a mixture of Grease mixed with High School Musical with a side of Totally Spies (sans the spies part, of course).
Or worse... The thirteen to fifteen year old girl that wrote the whole college/university experience like an adult version of high school...?
It makes me happy that none of these stories have been posted anywhere, lol. Imagine the horror of coming across some tiktokker mocking a story I had written as a preteen/teenager? I have definitely seen this happen up on TikTok and Instagram and it always gives me mean girl vibes.
