We are in England for Spring into Wool! There are some Sunday tickets available if you’d like to visit. It’s at The Grammar School at Leeds and our stall is in the Sports Hall. Come gaze at the famous wall of colourful sock yarn!
Hand dyed luxury indie yarn for knitting and crochet.
Making friends at the yarn show 🐑🐈
I’ve now had multiple people tell me they ship these characters…fibre crafts yuri 🌈🧶
i love this tweet bc it’s the exact same genre of culturally tapped in unnecessary haterism i also peddle in
as of march 12th clip studio is on sale celebrating their version 4 release. it's an incredibly powerful drawing program you will NOT regret getting, especially if you want to ditch adobe. the sale ends in 5 days so if you were looking into getting it, now's the time
Your go-to art studio for illustration, animation, manga, & webtoons. Fully packed with customizable brushes & tools. Draw on your smartphon
and since i see this brought up often when i make these posts:
for pc and mac users, there's a perpetual license option; you do NOT have to get a subscription to use clip studio unless you're on an ipad
you can forever own the version of the program you buy; if a future version has things you want, you will be able to upgrade for a discount
future update releases won't make your current version unusable. you simply won't have the features any new release will include. for example, i will not be upgrading from ver 3 to ver 4 because i'm not interested in the new features
pro is for illustrations, character art, concept work; ex has handy tools for comics, webtoons and animation. both can make use of their 3d assets
Replaying Knights of the Old Republic 1, this time with my GF. Haven't played it since high school, I think. I'm kinda struck by how... down-beat it is, especially in our current era of attention-coveting bleeding edge graphics RPGs. But it honestly feels... nice.
Taris is notoriously "The Boring Part" and I said as much to my GF when introducing the game but, I dunno, its actually kinda relaxing and immersive. It kinda feels like having a meal with actual vegetables in it after eating junk food for way too long.
Okay no I take it back this is taking forever.
I respect what it is doing and the pace with which it is doing it, that being said, I think the people who use the Taris skip mod after beating the game once or twice have rights.
Finally get to Dantooine only for the skybox to ABSOLUTELY WIG OUT.
Today's a big candlemaking restock day for me for my small business and I am so pleased that this multi hour work day coincides with GDQ's Frost Fatales live speedrunning charity event. What's more, the first event I caught was Roller Tycoon 2 which I have fond memories of as a kid 😊
One day I hope to submit one of my candles for a GDQ prize. I missed the submission for Frost Fatales 2025 by just hours 😅 Next time!

I'm really not apologetic with this hard stance, either. I'm very firm on this, too. My art has already been used, twice now by people who did not ask my permission, so they could "enhance it" with Gen AI. I really see nothing good coming from generative AI except poor excuses for laziness and glorified search engines that don't work.
This is an important time to make the distinction between generative and analytical AI. Analytical AI is what AI is supposed to be for. It’s all the boring stuff like analyzing data for patterns. For example, you probably heard about that AI that was designed to tell apart bear claws from croissants for a bakery that is now being used to detect cancer cells with greater accuracy than human doctors. That’s an analytical AI, while everything mentioned in the post above is generative AI. (Which sucks!)
Before I turn in for the night I wanted to share something new I picked up in Clip Studio: converting brush strokes into vector lineart. Super helpful for finishing intricate designs quick & easy like that elven artifact I made.
There’s only a few steps to it: make a cool design using thick brush strokes, right click the layer, and convert it using these settings below:
That’s really all there is to it! Here’s an example of how it turns out.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but it’s okay for writing to be a HOBBY that you do because you enjoy, and that you don’t want to do when you’re not enjoying it. No one’s up in the business of knitters telling them they have to be willing to SUFFER and SWEAT or they’ll NEVER FINISH THAT SWEATER and they can’t expect good things to come to them. I don’t know why our current culture around writing is so intense, but I’m here to support your casual, relaxing writing habit. If people can glue pompoms together or knit a scarf or watch hours of streaming shows with their spare time there’s absolutely no reason writers can’t waste time writing just for pleasure, without any expectation that they’re going to Achieve something Amazing and Important or make a bunch of money or whatever.
I stand corrected: According to a great many who have piped up in the comments, apparently people ARE up in the business of knitters. What the hell. Get out of the business of knitters, people. May we all enjoy our hobbies without pressure to professionalize.

I am just getting back into posting here. Its funny that like half the things I was reblogging were about yarn and I don't even sell things made with yarn anymore 😅 Well I do but I don't.
One of the early staples of my shop was my Pride Beanies and I used to work really hard to have beanies for like as many pride flags as I could for every show I did.
That was exhausting, so I don't go out of my way to do that anymore but I do still make them on demand if anyone's interested.
I do still posess a dragon hoard of yarn.
