Don’t ever let other women make you feel less than. You are God’s own daughter. You are a child of the King, and by living His way, (being submissive, kind, chaste, loving your husband, and children and working in the home) you are doing exactly what He desires of you.

A glimpse into my life:

My husband works 12 hour night shift at a local chemical plant. He has an extremely hot, dangerous, and exhausting job. When he comes home every morning, he comes home to a tidy, welcoming home, even if I’m still asleep.

We also have two very young children. So how do I keep the home tidy? Naturally, they play during the day and toys get scattered. We go outside to play and bring some dirt in with us. I maintain the home by picking a cleaning task every day, on top of daily tidying. Whether that be mopping all the floors, or just focusing on one room. It depends based on how the day is going and what else I am doing.

By doing one task most days during the week, my entire home stays clean. (Also, invest in a cordless vacuum and run it over the floors in the main living areas a few times a day! It’s a game changer.) Most importantly for me, all day I pick up things the kids aren’t playing with and move it back to their rooms. That way when evening comes, after I’ve cleaned up supper, I can do a quick cleanup of the toys, throw any dishes into the dishwasher, get the kids into the bath, then it’s time for a bit of a movie and bedtime! We love Disney classics. The new age movies are just so odd at times.

The house is all tidy by the time we go to bed. That means I get to rest in the evenings and don’t run around the house cleaning once they are in bed. I text my husband a lot in the evenings to let him know I love him and appreciate what he does.

When Hubby comes home, the house is clean and welcoming. It’s usually quiet too because the kids aren’t up yet. I’m usually still in bed. I greet him with a smile, and ask him how his night was. It’s the little things that add up to a welcoming home.

A job? Oh no no no, that's not for me. I'd much rather wear long dresses and bake and look after farm animals all day, thank you.

Grab your hubby and snuggle up this fall! Closeness is such a good medicine for anxiety, stress, and worry. It also helps to bond you both together physically and emotionally, or at least that’s what I’ve found. :)

Men are the BEST.

We’re living in a backwards world but seriously, a guy that has himself together is the best thing since sliced bread. They step up to the plate and sacrifice hours of their days to provide for their families. They step up and be the voice and leader of their home. They respect, honor, and cherish their wife. They will lay down their lives to protect their families and fight for them. They even freaking come home from work to do more work and are satisfied with simply having a hot meal set in front of them made by the love of their life. And don’t get me started on them in flannels and a nice pair of blue jeans. Oof.

I swear all of this is true. MEN are amazing. Find yourself a man. I did. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done.

This little picture reminded me so much of fall! I live in the south, and it is just starting to get chilly here, especially overnight. I thought I would list my favorite things about fall! These are all simple, free or inexpensive things, which I find often to be the greatest blessings. God bless you.❤️

• When the house is chilly and I’m snuggling up to my hubby while we enjoy a tv show at night.👩🏼‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏼

• My son picking up pine ones and colored fall leaves to examine the world our God made.🍁

• My daughter spotting pumpkins everywhere and always trying to find the tiniest one.🎃

• A hot cup of Irish tea in the mornings.🫖

• Checking my broccoli and lettuce plants everyday.🥦

•My children going to bed wearing their snuggly pajamas.🧸

• Riding to the mountains to look at fall leaves. It only costs gas money, and a packed lunch makes for such a nice treat! When we reach the highest elevation, snow often greets us, which is one of my greatest joys in God’s creation!⛰
