âhere me out ;â some of sidneyâs best monologues came from those THREE little words. some of her worst did, too, but that was a point that was neither here nor there. maybe that was why she had such a horrible time keeping friends, until recently - not the inherent weirdness she blamed, but the fact that she treated friendships like a strange sort of BIND. if they cared about her, they wouldnât turn her down when she had a dumb idea, right? âi have a lead. someone who knows someone - alright, brad from my visual arts class has a cousin who knows a guy, if you MUST know ; saw some weird shit, the other night, down at the docks. i know, i can hear what youâre thinking alright- âweird shit at the docks, sidney? shitâs always weird at the docksâ. but this was different. apparently it justâŠ- it FELT different, and you know how i feel about feelings. i need to go. and weâre not meant to be walking around alone, and iâm sure that you care at least⊠40% for my safety, so- dâyou wanna come?âÂ
â AT THIS POINT, ALLIE SHOULD BE FAMILIAR WITH SIDNEYâS âLEADS.â most of which hadnât amounted to anything, considering they were still sitting on their asses in allieâs dorm room, throwing ideas back and forth. but still, allie was generally the first to agree to sidneyâs ideas, perhaps because she just loves being included. âi guess. i mean, if anything a little too weird is going to happen, it might as well happen at the docks...right?â allie furrows her brow, a bit concerned. she doesnât want to get her hopes up, because most of the time, these things donât pan out, but just maybe...she flashes sidney a grin. âyeah, thereâs NO WAY iâm letting you check out a lead alone. imminent death or not. i will be there with snacks and a first aid kit,â she confirms, an earnest nod. âare you going right now?âÂ
