Hysteria, deriving from the Greek word, "hystera" which translates to Uterus, was believed by Hippocrates to be caused by the moving of the uterus through the body, he also believed that it could only happen to women. Ian Oswald (1929-2012) His Sleep Restoration Theory (1966) states that during sleep your body restores necessary nutrients, cleans cells, and removes waste. In result, if you don't sleep, you could die. So get some sleep. How we fall asleep: When the sun sets the eyes send signals to the Superchiasmatic Nucleus, a cluster of Neurons in the Hypothalamus. The SCN triggers the Pineal Gland to produce Melatonin, a hormone that makes you drowsy. The hormone works it's way through the Endocrine system. Eventually it causes you to sleep.

Psychology Behind Vacations

In a study done by Nawjin and Colleagues found that there was no difference in happiness between a group of adults that went on vacation and a group who did not. However, the group planning the vacation were happier than those who weren't going on one. So if you want some happiness plan a vacation!!

Oral Sex's Social Stigma

So apparently, outside of Tumblr in the real world Oral Sex Is seen as degrading by a large amount of the human population. David Fredric, in his book "The Roman Gaze: Vision, Power, and The Body" states that in Roman times sex was all about submission and domination, therefore oral sex was considered the most degrading sexual act considering it was the most submissive. The Evolutionary perspective of Psychology would say that this opinion on the disgrace of Oral Sex has been passed down through the generations and is slowly being killed off because of oral sex is more widely accepted by the population as the years go on. Developed a Framework of Psychology for the Juvenile Justice System.

He also wrote a book titled “Pathology of Lying, Accusation, and Swindling: A Study in Forensic Psychology” that I’m currently reading.

It’s a book I highly suggest, iPhone users it is in the iBook store for free, Android users I haven’t checked but its a safe bet it’s in the Google Play store too.

Being that I want to become a Criminal Profiler this is one of the more important sections of psychology for me.
