I am currently rewriting Chapter 2.
After finishing the chapter, I've made several edits but I still wasn't very satisfied with it. So I am starting over with a rewrite while still following the flow of what I've already written.
- The character customization will happen much earlier in the chapter, instead of happening near the end.
- The "3 major incidents" the Sentinel encounters when they get home will also be changed.
The first two incidents were murder and attempted murder, and the last one was the Sentinel defending themselves from public suspicions about sealing their fate.
The last one in particular was very emotionally charged and I feel it got too sad for me. There's a plot where the Sentinel's community turns their back on them.
I think it went in that direction bc I was stressed with IRL things but now I can breathe better and I want to change it.
The first two incidents remain the same with some plot changed, while the last one is completely different and involves Diwa Resonance. This builds up on the lore already set while also challenging stuff in the Kasuratan.
These things make up the bulk of Chapter 2.
It's the Chapter where all the LIs are introduced so I'm excited to publish it, but I'm also partly hesitant because of some concerns regarding the creative freedoms I'm taking about writing my own culture.
The featured clothing is heavily inspired by real life precolonial attire. Because there is no gender binary in the game's worldbuilding, this makes it so clothing such as the tapis can be worn by any character, including the MC, even if they are not a woman. This is not reflective of real life applications. I addressed this in my Author's Notes in the game, and I hope it is enough to clarify my perspective as an Igorot fantasy author.
Anyway, thanks for playing my game! I'm always pleasantly surprised to see I am still getting follows on Itch.io despite the published game having only 1 chapter.
