saying this as a lesbian who loves women's boobs--sexually, even! but i don't think that we as a society should consider breasts inherently female or inherently sexual. a flat chest should not be seen as the "default" for gender neutrality but instead just one way a person can present. boobs should be normal. anyone of any gender can have boobs
funniest yet most enlightening conversation on this whole social media ban topic, by two girls sat across from me on the bus the other day:
"what do they mean by social media? does Roblox count? what about all the stuff I've built?"
"you'll be fine, doesn't your icloud say you're 34?"
"oh my god they're even banning Facebook. who the fuck is on Facebook"
So the thing is boobs really do be jiggling. If having breasts has taught me anything it is that the ladies frolic. I don't even have that large of boobs but every time I go down some stairs all I can think about is that stupid quote about boobing breastily down the stairs or whatever it is because God Damn.
But anime and video game boob jiggling is like. The most uncanny valley shit I've ever seen nine times out of ten. You would think people this horny about tits would have actually looked at some but I guess not.
What we really need is some pervert to compile the ultimate visual guide to boob bouncing physics that's just like 500 hours of meticulously organized videos of breasts of different size and shape and under different fabrics bouncing around from a wide variety of physical movements so horny game devs can finally get it right and I don't have to be creeped out by women who appear to have surgically implanted softballs in their chest under skin made of rubber bands.
Quick shout out to the Down syndrome kid from my after-school program back when I was in grade school. Like yea he had the usual issues but he was a sweetheart and quite funny; and one day both his parents showed up at the same time to pick him up and I had the experience of meeting a family of genetically disabled people that had jobs and a home and a kid in school and it was a profoundly normalizing experience for me like I couldn’t take eugenicists seriously after that because like “no they totally can have whole entire meaningful lives with marriage and children and work and hobbies have you not met Dennis??” Anyway quick shout out to Dennis you were a real one
DONT use glasses, youll become dependent on them to see!!!! #WARONDRUGS #OVERPRESCRIPTION #CORRECTIVELENSADDICTION
I know this is a humorous exaggeration designed to show how silly it is to deny medication and mobility/quality of life aids to disabled people by applying the argument to something silly in a way that nobody would ever do but... unfortunately I have heard people say this. I've heard people suggest that people with minor sight problems shouldn't get glasses, and people needing to move to a stronger prescription should do it and should stay on as light a prescription as they can use and still function, because the glasses will "weaken their eyes" and make their eyesight worse (which is bullshit). People will pull this ableist bullshit on glasses wearers, too.
unfortunately no matter how much you try to parody ableism, some completely genuine asshole out there already has you beat.
#'you wouldnt say this about wheelchairs!' yes they would.#'you wouldnt do this with a missing limb!' i promise they do#'but what about-' look just assume no matter how stupid it is that people are dicks about it
I kept forgetting my nighttime antidepressant so I set an alarm where the sound was a recording of me saying "HEY. TAKE YOUR FUCKING PILL" because I thought it would be funny. It was funny about three times, and then it started making me mad and I'd dismiss it right away to make it stop. So I handed my phone to my partner, who made another recording sweetly saying "Okay Shira, it's time to take your medication" and now I don't get mad anymore and I take my pill. The "compassion over punishment" camp has gotta get something wrong one of these days
Christopher Nolan almost allows colors into his mythical epic shot on 70mm IMAX film. thank god they stopped filming in time.
“my father is a boy and my mother is a girl so i’m mixed” is the funniest possible response to someone asking your gender and it came from 6’5 Viking footballer and notable weird little guy Erling Haaland on a Snapchat
comedians can only dream of writing something this funny
You never know what color pallette someone's Tumblr is till ppl are screenshotting posts and tags

Oh wow.
Some people on tumblr are reading ancient scrolls and you'd never know
it really pisses me off when adults sit there and drill it into kids’ heads that their youth is fleeting and tell them things like “enjoy your childhood while it lasts because this is the best it’s gonna get”. why are you telling children that adulthood is the worst thing they can experience? seriously what the fuck is wrong with you, why are you trying to make them feel like growing up is a fate worse than death? trying to convince them their life is over before it even begins? i’m tired of that shit. because tell my why my 12 year old cousin told me when she turns 30 she’ll be so depressed she’s just gonna cry all the time. what the fuck. kids don’t need to hear that their already stressful and overwhelming lives are never going to get better, that the abuse and lack of autonomy they face is apparently the highlight of their lives. they need to hear about adults who are happy to be alive and happy to have made it to their age. they need to know that growing up rules, it’s a gift and life does not have to suck for them, that they have a future that’s worth sticking around for. this rhetoric is so damaging mentally and i’m about to start hitting the adults who parrot it. i’m sorry you hate your life but you don’t get to dump your issues on these kids. don’t piss me off and leave these babies alone!
Adding onto that, growing up is sick as hell!! I remember when I was a kid, all I wanted to do was grow up and get older and take care of myself. (I know it's not every child's dream to work a 9-5, but it was mine). Now that I'm just breaching adulthood at my big age of 19, I can say that so far, despite how stressful shit can get sometimes, this is the best I've felt in years. I know that a huge part of that is the fact that I didn't have a great home life growing up, but that's the beauty of getting older is that you don't have to live under the same roof as those people when you age, I know I'm coming from a bit of privilege because I'm in college at the moment, so for others who aren't, I can't say much unfortunately and I do apologize. Even then, there are so many other alternatives and freedoms. I believe the main reason people try to tell children that their youth is as good that life will get is because they want to establish a sense of control onto them, they want the children to be as dependent on them as possible, even going as far as to not properly teach them proper adulthood skills, such as financial management, or work force preparation, or just proper socializing for a healthy transition into adulthood. They want their kids to be as helpless as possible because they want to feel in control of something, despite the fact that they can have a sense of control over the situation by properly educating their kids!
Adulthood is great, not always, but usually. There are hardships to face, but that should not be a deterrent. You are strong and capable, just as much as everyone else. You deserve the proper preparation. It's a lot to just be thrown out into the deep end, especially when a lot of people have the attitude of "you should just know this already". Despite the fact that it should not rest entirely on your shoulders to learn these things. Of course, independence is something you should strive for as an adult, but having a healthy support system that knows when to step in and teach you is key.
All computer safety ever for the past 30 odd years: "if you go on the internet — especially if you're under 18 — lie about everything. Lie about your name. Lie about your age. Give as little information away about yourself as you possibly can. Obfuscate, falsify, and omit anything and everything as otherwise They Will Get Your Ass. Actually, avoid it in the first place if you can altogether."
All computer safety(?) since like 2020: "it's imperative we make every 8 year old scan a passport before letting them use their LeapFrog™️. Always-on connectivity required."
