I like the idea of the others twisteds also showing little signs of genuine care in response to the care they always get from twisted glisten. Like, in the situation where he got hurt trying to break up a fight between twisted Shelly and twisted pebble, the idea of them both stopping immediately when they realize what happened. Just the idea of them all panicking about it as much as their animal brains will allow because the braincell has been HURT and they must alert the proper authorities immediately. And even though he’s injured he’s actually kinda happy because it’s nice to be reminded how much they care.

To Fields of Stars

There lies a small community off in the new growth of our world, one covered in new technology where the cogs of machines spin with flowers building their supports.

Here builds an architect's fantasy, where houses will walk across the flowering fields, trains sound off in the distance, and the automatons will power the complex machinery of their engines.

There, lives the engineer afraid of the moon.

The one who chooses to work the endless nights away, left plagued by nightmares of destroyed homes and frozen voids. a moon that lies a painful reminder of what could not be saved.

Yet each night, when the engineer is too tired to deny, and the moon has become anew, his friend of the sheep brings him to fields of flowers and lets the engineer lie down and watch the sky.

The sheep strings together stories of how stars are born. elaborate tales depicting the nebulas that dance intertwined. Stories of how the constellations love.

Slowly, without the blinding eye looming within the night, the engineer lets himself sleep. Slowly the engineer forgets his fear. Slowly he learns of names hidden in stars.

Slowly, ever so carefully, the engineer learns again how to love the bright void around him.
