Prediction: Ten times as many people will play Hiveswap as have ever read Homestuck; and the latter will ultimately be regarded by the fandom as “the Hiveswap backstory comic”. Most fans will be familiar with it from having skimmed over the plot summary on Wikipedia, but practically no-one will actually have read the thing.

Alternately Homestuck ends up being “The thing Toby Fox did the music for before he made undertale”.

That’s definitely another possibility. It really depends on what Toby Fox’s next project is, though; one-and-done indie creators rarely enjoy the kind of posterity that’s necessary to have historical footnotes to their work, so if Undertale is the only notable game he ever does, it ain’t likely.
