QUIRKED UP CATHOLIC ORPHAN TRIES TO SURVIVE IN THE WORST TOWN EVER SO THAT GOD'S WILL IS DONE!! what happens next after befriending her may shock you (warning: amazingly long walls of text)
A fellow orphan under Bailey's care, with a reputation for her incredible violence brutality- though most of it is exaggerated, surely? It's hard to say, since she tends to keep herself busy at odd jobs all over town and at the temple, fulfilling her duties as a nun. There's something jarring about her, though- students at Oxford High School have gossiped how quickly her demeanor can change, in the blink of an eye...
FIRST MEETING: School's your best bet, since her pattern outside of class is pretty unpredictable, balancing odd jobs and her temple duties. Sneaking into the girl's locker room to steal panties is the quickest way to meet her, since she often arrives to swimming lessons late to change by herself. This is a bad start, as not only will you be temporarily barred from stealing (the rumours you've heard about her will prevent you from acting too rashly), but she will also be cagey and on her feet.
You can improve the situation though, by turning around to avoid looking at her and apologising for going in. PCs with meek demeanours will also have a better chance of causing Angel to relax, and she'll remark how "If you want to nick something, get it from that locker. It belongs to a girl who cuts holes into other girls' swimsuits. Eye for a eye!" Otherwise, flirting with her and/or failing to placate her will cause Angel to tense up and shove you out of the locker room, muttering how "This school is filled with fucking perverted dipshit scumbags!"
You can also meet her in the corridors when a student attempts to drag you in a classroom; here she will prove true to her 'reputation' by grabbing the guilty student by their hair and slamming their face into a wall. 'A crunch is heard, and the boy/girl runs off screaming. (+Stress -Trauma) Angel gives a small, self-satisfied smile, and looks to you. You swear her face is shining light. "Watch out, yeah? There's some nasty fucks in this dirty school." Angel sinks off into the corridors.'
FRIENDSHIP/ROMANCE: No matter how you met Angel, she will feel a certain sense of responsibility over the PC as a fellow orphan, and she will intervene in non-consensual encounters if she is nearby. Angel defeating your assailants raises Stress, due to the graphic nature of her fighting style (eyes? Crotches? Nipples? All fair game!), but this will decrease Trauma. If you've met Angel, screaming/pleading for help in encounters will have a chance for the PC to shout out Angel's name- if Angel arrives and saves you from the encounter, it will raise her love quite a bit.
When her love is at least 10%, she will start to eat her lunch in the canteen in order to bump into PC. Similarly to Robin, Sydney and Kylar, eating and chatting with her will raise love and decrease stress. However, due to her reputation, there is a higher chance that delinquents will surround you to 'teach the uppity bitch a lesson'- Angel will be able to fight them off, usually, but choosing to help her out (either by making the delinquents cum, or by fighting them off) will raise her love. Of course, she would prefer to have you fight them off physically (this raises love more) but as acquaintances, she won't press.
Her divine transformation also allows you to receive random boosts to your skills when she chooses to 'bless' you (pressing her stone cross to your forehead). Furthermore, if your stress/trauma is high, she will offer to sit down in the courtyard with, where she will stretch a wing to envelop you as you lean into her side.
'The feathers tickle your cheek, soft and cold as snow. You notice just how cool Angel's body seems to be, despite her constant movement. She looks down at you, and gives you such a bright, childish smile that you almost forget what troubled you in the fist place. Her feathers rustle and keep you enveloped from the sunshine. You feel safe and protected. (--Stress, - Trauma)'
However, getting closer to her will reveal some cracks in her facade- walks on the beach will cause her to open up about her troubles, her sorrows, and her reliance on religion. "I'm only with that temple for the monthly allowance, you know. They're a bunch of fucking infidels who don't know the first thing about faith. I pray at home." "I'm sick of getting into fights all the time. It feels good to win, yeah, but God does it hurt!"
Additionally, you can visit her at the Temple, where she sometimes mans the confessional- no matter what you confess, she will pick the forgive option and offer practical advice to your solutions, alongside the stereotypical 'pray and follow the religion'. ("Cheating in an exam? Make sure you study next time, then." "Prostitution? Well, in a town like this, I can see why you'd do that. Pays well and all. But what do you want to do?" "Fucking animals? Virgo above, that's not... Listen, are you doing this on purpose, or are you just really unlucky? I'll give you some animal treats anyway. To get them off your back.")
Romancing her will require 90% love and 10% lust. Whilst raising her love is slow but steady, raising her lust is the tricky bit- sex terrifies her to her very core. She cannot see it as an act of pleasure, only as a way that others hold control over each other. Her lust passively increases over time, but unless you are close she'll make no mention of it.
Whilst she doesn't believe in all the Temple's doctrine, and she believes that purity comes from your character, not from your body count, she is devoted to the religion to a very strong degree. Most options that raise her lust (flirting, for example) will decrease her love. She completely ignores the fact that she is in a porn game. Good luck to any lustful PCs, demon PCs, or in general those with corruption kinks- Angel dissapoints on all fronts. You want to romance a violent, religiously-devoted, maniacal teen orphan? Sorry guys, that's what you get. She'll try to be as accommodating as she can especially if you're dating, but she would rather die than talk about sex directly <3 also talking about her self destructive habits will be ignored at best (she'll either kiss you on the cheek and soothe you, saying how 'that's how things are, sometimes. It's okay, baby, I'll be fine') or give you the cold shoulder at worst. Again, she'd rather not have deep talks about HER <3 anyway, how was your day? Want to go for a walk? She'll buy you sex toys if her lust is high enough, and if you've tried to breach the topic, but that's as much as it often goes.
As for PCs she prefers, she's not picky (it depends from person to person) but meek PCs arouse her desire to protect and be useful and Angel PCs would be able to bond with her over their TF and understand her avoidance of sexual activities, so she'd be more drawn to them easily. She will take note of any transformations with a keen eye, though, due to her high awareness.
PCs with high Tending/Science Grades would probably be able to take care of her body better, due to the scrapes she ends up getting herself in, though <3 her dream scenarios often include feeling the gentle touch of someone's hands, without guilt or disgust.
SPECIAL STAT: VENGEANCE: How infuriated Angel is towards her circumstances, and the town as a whole. At low vengeance, she will be 'calmer' - that is to say, she will get caught up in less fights around town, and will be in a more cheerful mood. Higher vengeance does the opposite- and as it gets higher and higher, Angel's sanity gets more and more shaky, as she throws herself into more fights, starts to recite verses out of the blue, will be ecstatically happy one minute and violently furious the next. Max vengeance will allow her dismissal event to occur.
-Low vengeance: Angel feels like she's done enough so far.
Low/Mid vengeance: Angel is disgusted by the town's happenings.
Mid/High vengeance: Angel is infuriated by the sins that surround her.
High/Max vengeance: Angel believes that the town is in need of heavenly purging.
Can be increased if she often helps you to get rid of attackers and if you've broken down in front of her due to high Trauma. It passively increases over time, especially if you've not met with her in while. It can be decreased by hanging around her and generally being friendly and genial with her. It gets harder to manage as the game goes on, with higher payments, and her savings dwindling due to lack of lucrative jobs (she sees the Brothel as a den of sin and inquity. She'd rather die than have others see her scantily dressed. She's not very good at Skullduggery..)
Max vengeance sounds like a good thing, considering how disgusting Rapechestershire is, but Angel is only an orphan- without her official documents, without any authority figures she can trust, and with her mental problems exacerbated by her angel transformation and her religious hysteria, she believes that the only way the town can be dealt with is through her actions alone. And changing an entire system by yourself, as you know, is downright impossible. Her divine powers only really extend to vanquishing tentacles and providing random lucky stat boosts.
At max vengeance, she'll be practically inconsolable. Crying, then laughing, then throwing herself off building just to feel the adrenaline pumping in her heart- my wings will stop the fall, anyway, it's fine! In the dismissal event, she'll meet with you on her room, and she'll start talking of a 'Great Solution' that involves the murder of several High-ranking townspeople. Her plan gets more and more depraved, more insane and so vile to listen to that it raises stress immensely. She'll then proceed to break down in front of you You can choose to take her to the hospital (where she will be whisked off to the asylum by Dr. Harper's orders) or you can attempt to console her.
Failure will cause her to turn on you, hitting and screaming and wailing on how she's useless and will never be able to pull it off, not with you anyway, and she'll storm off. She'll come back later, though, and go on her hands and knees for forgiveness- "My God, my light, please please please forgive this useless, no-good sinner!" Success requires Physique, Willpower, Athletics and Tending checks to calm her down enough so that she's just a whimpering, sniffling mess. Either way, her guilt will cause her Vengeance level to go down to zero.
