In which a group of men is playing basketball by the school and one of them catches Peter’s eye.

This would be great for a miscommunication and/or drama point or a serendipitous epiphany in a fic where the pictures were taken pre superpowers but resurfaced years later.

Where Peter had a crush on the stranger but nothing ever happened but a few photos taken among some distant admiration and casual eavesdropping until one day the stranger stopped showing up and he was bummed but then he got super powers and the photos were put away in some physical albums full of the photography he was especially fond or proud of and eventually forgotton about.

Until one day Wade discovers Peter has pictures of him of before weapon x. Depending on the overall plot is how/when that happens and what happens after. It could go a lot of ways.

(The first scenerio I thought of was post friendship when They’re both crushing on each other and Peter shares his secret identity and lets Wade snoop through his apartment in order to learn everything he can about him now that he’s allowed, and he finds the albums. And maybe when he hasn’t commented on any photos for a minute Peter gets curious and looks to see which pictures caught Wade’s attention and uses the moment to out himself as casually as he can, explaining about how he had noticed this random stranger and had become enamored with him, doing his best to laugh at himself and not feel awkward about randomly just throwing that info out there. And I can think of a dozen reactions for Wade over the pictures and over Finding out why Peter had them. From shock and being triggered at seeing his old face, amazment of the serendipity, excitment that Peter was attracted to men, moment of angst as he thinks it’s proof that he didn’t have a shot with Peter, because he might of been Peters type before but not now, and possibly paranoia or distrust among other things, the conflicting thoughts and emotions exacerbated by the boxes. Maybe not exactly in that order though.)

MILES MORALES CAN SIGN I AM CRYING THEY INCLUDED THIS IN THE GAME THEY EVEN LOOK DECENT (though there’s a miss on the fact that his mask stays on, I do love that Deadpool in the comics lifts his mask when he signs with Clint because facial expression is important in ASL)

One plus is that his body language helps offset that. He emphasizes it more by throwing back his head to show he’s laughing, nodding his head, and showing it through his limbs and torso. ASL expression isn’t limited to facial, it’s also body language!

Yes, it’s not perfect but I can suspend my disbelief as a deafie.

Also Deadpool doesn’t have much to actually hide when it comes to a secret identity (I mean…I’m pretty sure most people know it’s Wade by now), he wears it more to hide his scars. Miles still very much has a secret identity so it makes more sense to leave it on for him I think even if it would’ve been nice to go all in.
