The D20 Burrow’s End group singing the Bluey theme around the Ep2 battle map gives me life.
Amaaaaazing show. Currently in queue hell to rehydrate, but having a great time.
Star Trek craft book, I am begging you to describe this craft project in literally any other combination of words
I'm pretty on board with the headcanon that what Link gets out of being the bearer of the Triforce of Courage is the power of being a video game protagonist, but I genuinely can't decide whether it would be funnier if he's 100% aware of how much bullshit his everything is, or if he honestly doesn't realise.
Like, does he know that normal people can't recover from life-threatening wounds in a matter of minutes by drinking a jar of really good soup? It's the sort of thing you'd assume would be obvious just from being around other human beings, and yet.
The fact that Breath of the Wild Link's laser-parrying trick is something that only works for him is made explicit in the dialogue, so presumably he's at least aware that it's exceptional, but does he understand that it's complete bullshit, or does he think it's just a skill issue?
Link: No, that's fair, if I fuck up the timing I have to eat a laser to the chest and that is, understandably, extremely painful, so I don't recommend you practice this unless you're really confident about your timing.
Random Guard:...Link people die if they take those to the chest.
Link: I mean you should be angling yourself, i'm not saying to just let your sternum take a whole blow, to just take it square, that's a terrible idea
Random Guard: It explodes rocks.
Link: You have armor for a reason my guy.
Random Guard: ...
Link: If it helps, drinking some fire resist potions has proven to be moderately effective for me.
Random Guard: The Ones you apply to your skin?
Link: What
Random Guard: What
Link casually wanders into people’s houses, breaks their shit and takes what he finds. He’s obviously just kind deranged.
hey netizens! i'm not sure how many people are aware, but youtube's been slowly rolling out a new anti-adblock policy that can't be bypassed with the usual software like uBlock Origin and Pi-Hole out of the gate
BUT, if you're a uBlock Origin user (or use an adblocker with a similar cosmetics modifier), you can add these commands in the uBlock dashboard (under My Filters) to get rid of it!
youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.openPopupConfig.supportedPopups.adBlockMessageViewModel, false) youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.adBlocksFound, 0) youtube.com##+js(set, ytplayer.config.args.raw_player_response.adPlacements, []) youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.hasAllowedInstreamAd, true)
reblog to help keep the internet less annoying and to tell corporations that try shit like this to go fuck themselves <3
Oooo! I’ve seen this episode!
also the way that the nimona movie showed that hate is a taught behavior?? the way that gloreth, the hero worshipped for slaying monsters, was fully accepting of nimona until her mother told her what to believe? until that generational bigotry was passed down? the way the director’s motive wasn’t even power like most evil government figureheads in media, but rather a fear of monsters destroying the kingdom because that hate had been instilled in her too, like it had in gloreth? the way ballister was also indoctrinated into hatred of “monsters” until he was just as outcast as one? because only then was he willing to change and learn?? and how even people with good hearts and good intentions like ballister and ambriosius and even the queen herself are still capable of perpetuating bigotry and unnecessary violence when they don’t take the time to understand or learn about the “others” they supposedly hate????????? i need to lie down
Thiiiiiis. The people in their sort of “natural state” in Nimona are chill and accepting. It’s only after they get indoctrinated in the culture of fear that permeates Unnamed Kingdom (UK for short) that they start being assholes. The fact that they’ve got a fuck-off huge standing army of knights with what appears to be no credible threat from the outside world... and that it’s been that way for a thousand years without anyone questioning it... says a whooooole lot about their world (and ours).
The enemy in Nimona is conservatism. Full stop. If any conservative you know says they like it, you are officially allowed to turn into a shark and bite off their head.
It’s written in the rules I have just conveniently thrown away.
So one of the weirdest things about our current age is that the richest man on the planet is completely ticking unhinged… and doesn’t even try to hide it.
Take a minute and go scroll his replies. The dude is fucking weird.
Pokemon Go is too good for this world, too pure.
No further context
At this point, I should be used to seeing backlash against Emma Sulkowicz, but I still wasn’t fully prepared for what came this week: endless tittering of people around me in real life and in my social feeds saying they “weren’t sure” about Emma’s choice to carry her mattress to Columbia’s graduation; the insistence that Emma’s alleged assailant Paul Nungesser had been “proven innocent” by Columbia and exonerated by the NYPD; the posters someone put up around Columbia with Emma’s picture on them, calling her a “PRETTY LITTLE LIAR.”
