((I combined elements of Nicholas Vince’s “Prayers of Desire” with my personal headcanon of Chatterer being autistic (like me) and my general ideas about what the Cenobites represent.

Being a cenobite provides something that was missing before, something that, like everything else, has positive and negative consequences. I tend to think that Chatterer indulges in the positive without restraint because, for the first time, he can.
