@queen-elizabeths-angry-ghost
there's a stage in sandwich consumption where it's falling to pieces & you're desperately cupping it in your hands & it's like this poor wounded animal that is covered in mustard & wants to die
my partner is only 40 but nestled within him is the soul of an elderly man
serious adoption inquiries only. please note he's not neutered and has a wet food only diet.
99% of "mysterious disappearances" esp of people in their 20s who start acting weird for 48 hours and then vanish are not mysterious, thats just when a lot of reality-obliterating mental illness tends to kick in and it's pretty easy to get a short circuit in your brain that makes you go family guy death pose in joshua tree national park. it's not any less tragic, it's just a documented phenomenon and not particularly predictable. its a big reason the medical advice is for people with a family history of schizophrenia to completely avoid weed and psychedelics. "people just go crazy sometimes" is a principle of human health that used to be a lot more accepted prior to the american midcentury and to a certain extent thats a healthier way to conceptualize and prepare for the risk, as opposed to the modern assertion that anyone acting weird is dangerous and broken forever.
you should have a rough outline of a plan for if any of your loved ones experiences psychosis, it really does happen a lot. UTIs can cause psychosis. taking drugs, even safe drugs, or prescription drugs, can cause psychosis. i was once prescribed a heavy regimen of vitamin D because i was deficient, but the doctor never told me to stop taking it, so i moved to california, stopped being deficient, and developed vitamin d toxicity with downstream hyperparathyroidism which triggered significant hypomania that was undetected and uncontrolled for yeeeeeeears. i just slowly got Weird and started making impulsive decisions based on slightly out-of-gamut beliefs. i drove cross country by myself to have a love affair. the love affair was real, the series of decisions leading to burning down my life in pursuit of it were based on not great brain function however. etc. you see what i mean. churchill mentioned depression being the "black dog who stalks us" (one reason for Churchgrim's multi-referential name) but theres another, stealthier dog called Insanity and it's closer to some people than others but man it sneaks up on you. every time i see one of those "guy gets weird and drives into the wilderness forever" missing persons stories i think "yeah i could totally pull that off"
"van gogh cut off his ear what a lunatic" you are 3 nights of bad sleep, getting unexpected upsetting news and taking a substance as benign as coffee at the wrong time away from doing the same hope this helps
Eat at desk = hardworker
Eat at table = old style
Eat at stove = pragmatic
Eat in bed = the relaxer
Eat in car = soul of american
Fourth time now I've tried to propose to my wife and has gone horribly wrong first I put the engagement ring in the wine glass she drank that next time I tried putting it in the cake she ate that at the last point I decided to give it to the waiter to give to her she still ate him too like I've lost so much money but God what a woman

your sex is literally just your body. it is a completely neutral biological characteristic. it says nothing about you. nothing about your personality is incompatible with your body. you can act/dress/behave any way you want regardless of your sex! neither your personality or body need to change!!
baffling how this take has become so demonized
we could create more luigi mangione copycats by putting lead back in paint and gasoline
alternatively class consciousness works as well
i think lead might be easier
i think the point is to put the lead in the CEOs.
Genuinely in love with the groovy kitty floor…

tweet from chaos.bean:
My biggest tangle with insurance in 2024 ended when my doctor said, "If you continue to deny this treatment and my patient dies, I will sue you with her family. I will testify that your decision killed her, not her illness..." The treatment was approved that week after 18 months of denial. ?/1.
reply from minnaleejamison:
It is an abomination that we live in a country where doctors have to fight insurance companies just to be able to do their jobs.

"[all caps] MEDICAL HACK: [end caps]
So, your doctor ordered a test or treatment and your insurance company denied it. That is a typical cost saving method. OK, here is what you do:
1. Call the insurance company and tell them you want to speak with the "HIPAA Compliance/Privacy Officer" (By federal law, they have to have one).
2. Then ask them for the [all caps] NAMES [end caps] as well as [all caps] CREDENTIALS [end caps] of every person accessing your record to make that decision of denial. By law you have a right to that information.
3. They will almost always reverse the decision very shortly rather than admit that the committee is made of low paid HS [high school] graduates, looking at "criteria words," making the medical decision to deny your care. Even in the rare case it is made by medical personnel, it is unlikely that it is made by a board certified doctor in that specialty and they [all caps] DO NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS! [end caps].
4. Any refusal should be reported to the US Office of Civil Rights (OCR.gov) as a HIPAA violation.
