yeah i don't wanna get super snobby about it but souls games are not the kind of game you can comprehend lore details of by just turning your brain off and swinging your sword. you do have to progress npc questlines in specific ass ways and pay attention to visual aspects of the bosses that are trying to murder you if you want to figure out what is actually going on! and you do have to be able to piece together a very basic narrative!

I think what pisses me off the most is that person saying "oh but if miquella wanted mohg to kidnap him then wouldn't it make more sense to do it right away and not wait for the shattering?" and it's like. THE CHARACTERS IN THIS STORY ARE NOT OPERATING OFF OF YOUR LOGIC!!!! also no! miquella has had like 3 different plans to fix what is wrong with the world so far and we do not know when he moved from one to the other! timelines in this game are so vague!

fucking crazy that fromsoft made one single elden ring dlc and it's about how detransition will kill your soul

my biggest complaint about the elden ring dlc is that there is (and please correct me if I'm wrong) no sif-style cutscene change for malenia if you kill miquella before facing her. it sucks so hard that they figured that out in dark souls 1 and then seemingly forgot how awesome it was
