Theory for Sir Pentious’s death (That part’s not a spoiler he literally is a sinner in hell they all died)
fiyero has adhd, send post
As someone with ADHD I concur.
#rip to another iconic fiyero line
unpopular opinion but i like that they cut this line from the movie. because i mean... spoilers, but in the movie fiyero never makes fun of her for being green. he says she must've blended in with the foliage, but that was more an observation that she was green versus making fun of her for it like the "saw green and thought it meant go" line. just my two cents.
Actually you’re right. I was annoyed at first because I found it so funny and so savage. But in actuality it makes more sense for him to not say something like this as it ends up making their romance mean something more.
See here folks, ADHD icons with their mandatory cat ears.
I’m sorry (No I’m not).
All jokes aside, I genuinely love the both of them, but they are essentially the same person (and no I’m not just talking about their looks).I mean come on reckless writers who jump headfirst into danger. Socially awkward individuals with ADHD who are crafty and creative. I mean come on (You can pry ADHD Lois Lane from my cold dead hands).
Me And The Bad Bitch I Pulled By Being Autistic.
That’s it. That’s the meme. I don’t think anyone’s done this yet.
I’m mad at the live action HTTYD. I know it’s simple don’t watch it. That’s probably what y’all gonna say. But this is for many reasons
1. CGI - I don’t see them not butchering this. It’s like you are starting from scratch making dragons try to look realistic and yet diverse. Like there are so many different types of dragons, ranging from terrifying to cute (or in Toothless’s case both). Also the RED DEATH that’s gotta be major scary so it looking really bad CGI takes away the scare factor. It has a very high probability of taking away from the film if the CGI is bad, and also lessens the impact of how we see the dragons.
2. Now onto the casting. (Just making a note, in no way am I doubting the acting talent of those cast, I know that they will kill it.)
First off I couldn’t give a fuck, about Nico Parker playing Astrid.
Oh that takes away blonde Scandinavian representation, it’s historically inaccurate. The whole plot is Vikings riding dragons. It’s not supposed to be historically accurate it is a fantasy world.
Also what Scandinavian representation. The vikings characters either have Scottish accents, whilst all the young dragon riders have American accents. Yes I know Vikings were in America, but they still wouldn’t have an American accent or speaking English. Scandinavian characters does not equal Scottish. They are two different cultures.
The Vikings are also not represented right in the first place, ie it’s a loose representation. They didn’t have the horns on the Helmets, the names are wrong. Astrid’s last name would be Hofferdottir (daughter of Hoffer), for example and Hiccups would be Stoickson (Son of Stoick). There is a paternal naming system with a clear divide on the gender binary (I hope that makes sense, I’m no expert when it comes to Viking naming and I don’t know how to explain it with the correct terms.
Additionally they even present the God’s wrong. If you are actively apart of the fandom re. watched all the content in the franchise not just the movies (no I’m not counting nine realms or rescue riders rest assured), season 1 episode 8, Portrait of Hiccup as a Buff Man, of ROB, mentions Freya as the goddess of fire. In Norse mythology she’s not the goddess of fire, that’s Logi (well he’s the god, and no I don’t mean Loki, I had to do I quick google search as my mythology knowledge is somewhat limited to the Riordan books). Freya is the goddess of love and beauty, and that kind of stuff.
I also have to add if this were era appropriate, and culturally accurate Astrid and Ruffnut and Heather, they wouldn’t be part of the action. Don’t get me wrong Viking women were some feminist queens who lived in a society that was more progressive. They were allowed to divorce their husbands, for mistreating them may it be that they were abusing them. However they still were not expected to fight, their lives and chores were still housebound. If this franchise cared about the ‘culture’ or the ‘historical accuracy’ we would not see these three queens grace our screens being badass and menaces to their adversaries in battle.
Instead it gives POC representation. (And no I am not a POC myself, I’m White so I can’t speak for the experiences of a POC woman because I don’t face the same type discrimination, feel free to add your input if you are POC.) Astrid being a love interest, and a character who is seen as others as a symbol of beauty. So it’s not Eurocentric beauty (blonde hair, blue eyes), but that makes it more impactful. Astrid is this three dimensional warrior goddess who is determined and strong and her being blonde never drove the plot or her character’s actions. Her biggest insecurity is that people view her as less tough because she is pretty not because she is blonde.
Quote, “Just because she's beautiful, people think she's not tough. But you should never underestimate me.”
It doesn’t matter she’s not blonde because she is still beautiful. This allows POC girls to be better represented (I do know that she is still light skinned).
I do think she is a bit too old for the role. Like she’s 18, you haven’t started filming and she just looks older, I mean 21 she doesn’t look 15. So I’m a bit iffy on that, but otherwise let’s get to why I am really boycotting this movie.
I don’t see anyone complaining about the casting of Hiccup, it’s all Astrid. Yet the casting of Mason Thames as Hiccup is problematic.
The main reason as to why I wasn’t looking forward to a live-action adaptation was that I knew that they would butcher it to be an ableist mess. Why isn’t anyone talking about how this movie is taking away disabled - amputee representation. Hiccup, a amputee, is being played by a abled bodied actor.
Now I’m disabled. I’m not physically disabled like Hiccup, so my experiences, limitations and how I am discriminated against are different as I am Autistic (also have ADHD to be mentioned). Let’s be honest though that boy definitely is AuDHD, but that’s not the point. So hopefully you can see why I am upset. (Feel free to add your input if you are physically disabled/an amputee)
By doing this they are taking away one of the only protagonist who is an amputee- and don’t say what about Luke Skywalker - because his disability was magically replaced with a lifelike copy, as if he never lost a hand in the first place, which is problematic in its own right.
Hiccup Haddock clearly is an amputee and is permanently affected by it, their is no cure, but this doesn’t make him any less of a person and whilst he does have limitations, he can still live out a happy fulfilling life. This is a defining aspect of his character and is essential to the plot and moving the story forward.
Now I know your counter argument, but Hiccup only lost his leg at the end of the movie. I know they can CGI it off for that little bit of time and find a way to show a prosthetic leg, but it is still takes away representation. You’re claiming you want these characters to be portrayed accurately but you don’t care if disabled representation is being taken away.
It isn’t authentic representation when a person who doesn’t live as an amputee to play an amputee. They don’t share those experiences. Thus this casting is ableism at it’s finest.
I know Hiccup is a abled bodied for most of the film so that’s why you think it would be more practical for an abled bodied actor, but when they make the sequel what are they gonna do for that? Hiccup is disabled for the rest of the franchise, so it’s counterintuitive in away. They might as well have casted an amputee actor from the beginning.
You might argue that how would they do that as Hiccup loosing is foot is less impactful if he is an amputee from the beginning of the film but have you considered that they just put a boot over it/ cover with clothing. I’m not to sure with the mechanisms but I’m sure they could have figured something out.
And if you are going to argue that it would harder to do and film action/practical scenes, whilst it might be harder (I’m not denying that and might being the key word) but friendly reminder about a certain character who is an amputee from the MCU being Echo (whose currently in line of getting her own series).
I’m honestly wondering why they are doing this in live action in the first point, and I am disappointed in not only the casting but the reactions to the casting, mostly how people aren’t even acknowledging the ableism of the casting and focusing on slamming the casting that was more inclusive and forward thinking. But no, clearly people are to focused on race, (being that all characters in the Viking times have to be white, the least oppressed group and the most represented, which I do include myself as I am aware of the privileges I get because of it) instead of focusing on the erasure of amputee representation.
So that’s it sorry for the long rant/post.

SPOILERS if you haven’t watched episode 16 of season 2.
Theory time about the pictures. 1. Brothers together ‘Caleb’ (that’s what I am calling the older brother) and Philip are inseparable. Young Philip looks a bit concerned but Caleb big brother instincts wants to comfort him. I don’t know what they are actually doing though. Notice how in these pictures (except for the last three Caleb’s face is marred with tears. Ripping out the human connection. This is symbolic usually to the thought of betrayal and is severing metaphorical the ties with that person. I hope that makes sense. So I think that’s what’s going on there and the rest.
2. Philip clearly loves and looks up to his older brother. Philip is making him a mask which his inner self is later seen wearing. I think that is his witch hunting mask that Caleb is making. I think because of this these two are surrounded by the belief that witches are evil and must be destroyed so Philip is eager to get his mask and follow join his brother, his hero, to destroy them. I haven’t finished with this just yet, so don’t think I am reaching.
3. This memory frame contributes to my belief of this witch hatred Caleb is up tall, stick in his hand and ready for conquest. The same can pretty much be said for Phillip. In the background are a mob with pitchforks. This is during the 1600s, and guess what else was common then. Witch trials. So that hatred for witches is obviously a part of the twos childhood and so is the killing of them.
4. Again this time we see Caleb dressed up as a witch and Philip is trying to capture him. It’s all fun and games whilst further cementing that lust for conquest in Philip and the twos passion for witch hunting.
5. Here’s were things get interesting. The two have grown up now. I say Philip is a tween/young teen now. I think here Caleb is now questioning what he knows about witches. He is enchanted by the being who can make fire with her hands and from that he falls in love and changes his views on witches. I don’t exactly know exactly what happens next as I can’t tell is Philip is hiding and they others know he is there, or is he secretly spying. But I think Caleb was willingly taken to the boiling isles first. But Philip couldn’t follow them. He still had those prejudices against witches and thus felt betrayed by his brother. Which makes sense as to why those memories where damaged.
6. Philip is now grown up considerably. He is a young adult or late teen as we can see that he is starting to grow facial hair. He is alone. This is where I think he enters the BI alone without his brother. Maybe he wants to find his brother now even though he betrayed him. (The slashes might have been from his inner self all those years ago, but they still remain. Hence why Caleb’s face remains unscathed in the later ones).
7. Philip is collecting palisman here to gain power.
8. Philip is shocked and further betrayed by his brother and infuriated at the witches as he noticed Caleb was in a committed relationship with ‘one of them’ whom he got pregnant. 9. He goes at them in this beast form.
10. He has a part of him that still loves his brother and his brother still loves him too. He isn’t as vengeful towards him and is even starting to want him back.
This is pretty much all I got from this. I don’t really know what happens next to Caleb. Sorry for the waffle.
Man Hunter looks like wittlebro.
Very pleased with Walker Scobell being cast as Percy Jackson. I don’t know that he himself has ADHD and dyslexia, but I will put that past me, hopefully he gets a good rundown on what it’s like for us (well I can’t say that for dyslexia, as I am not dyslexic but I do have ADHD and have been diagnosed since I was 8) and the script is an accurate and not ignorant surrounding it. But considering Rick and his wife are oversighting it and they have a kid with both of these conditions and the character was written with him in mind, I don’t think it will be a problem.
I watched the Adam Project and watched the actors interviews and definite Percy vibes. Both on and offscreen. I think he can pull of the role of Percy to a T. And he is a fan of the series and is actually a kid, about 13. He is good with comedy and action. When I say comedy I mean snark, charisma and witty comments. From what I’ve seen of his handwork pretty good. Yet I am uncoordinated so what do I know. He can definitely play a slight asshole (to his adversaries) and a loveable clueless (when I say that I mean, like chaotic good, and tends to overlook things) misfit.
I don’t know if they will dye his hair, or utilise a good wig, and I’m not only talking about the realistic wig piece but also how it is styled to make it look like his actual hair consistently, I hope you get what I mean. But I do realise that a wig is impractical for his character and his action scenes. Also unlike Daniel Radcliffe, he can wear contacts. He did that in the Adam Project. His eyes are blue and he is wearing brown contacts. I have to say those contacts were quite realistic and good quality. So he can have sea-green eyes.
Sorry for the blabbing but the above picture is how Walker Scobell would look as Percy. I took it from online as I cannot change hair colour for the life of me and I don’t have the face app. I can’t remember where I got it from, Soz. But what I did was change his eye colour.
Before you say his eyes are still blue look closer. They are a bluey-green, when you look closer they look more green. Harry Potter’s green eyes were described as bottle green. Percy Jackson’s were described not as bottle green but again sea-green. Which is a blue-green I took reference from the fanart on the riordan wiki for the shade the RR one. Don’t @ me for the eye colour.
Personally I hope the rest of the cast is as good. Don’t get me wrong there is a little bit of my thespian side wanting to play Annabeth, but I am a few years older, than the right age, I’m like 16. Love acting and has ADHD. Not blond though or have grey/blue eyes - I’m brunette with hazel eyes and I’m short. And I’m Australian who can’t do accents so that’s a no chance. But part of the reason I love Annabeth because she is pretty what entirely what I stand for. Badass female. Her relationship with Percy I stan, I like that type of relationship. She is said to be pretty often underestimated in intelligence and otherwise because of her looks. And she is hella smart regardless that she has ADHD and dyslexia who is able to show that people like us can be intelligent. It also for me is inspirational to see a girl with ADHD as a long time ago I would have gone under the radar as it was associated with boys and I have worked hard to appear as a smart female regardless of being ADHD. So yeah, I love her and see myself in her. But I hope whoever is cast as her does her justice, and actually is ADHD and dyslexic, or maybe just one of them.
Sorry for long post.
I saw how someone commented that Dick looked like prince Eric and I agree. If you don’t see the similarities that‘s fine I did distort Dick’s image. Here is a meme. The only difference between them in their appearance really is their ethnicities. Dick is of Romani descent.
"The Kronisphere will make everything right," Nari had whispered gently, a soft smile on her lips.
Jim clutches the sphere tightly to his chest, neglecting the heat of the pavement scraping into his knees. Claire follows suit, dropping down to wrap an arm around him. He cries into her shoulder and she places her other hand on the ball with him. Slowly and quietly, the survivors huddle into a hug. They won, but they feel far from victorious.
"There has to be another way, there always have been," the Trollhunter chokes out. He stares at the magical object emanating a healthy green in his hands. It gleams with life, a stark contrast to the reality around him. But regardless, he's not going to give up. Not on Toby, not on the rest of his friends and family.
Suddenly a scene flashes, among the cracks that Aaarrrgghh had caused in his grief-stricken stupor. Claire brings a hand to her mouth.
"Wait a minute," Douxie starts, head tilting. A whispered "By Deya's Grace" escapes Blinky's lips. It's safe to say that the Akiridions, Stuart, Steve, and Eli are shocked as well.
It's them, with their hands on the ball, on top of each other's hands. Their eyes closed in momentary prayer.
And then, a miracle.
How it should have ended. A thousand times better than what we got.
Even though she's related to Chloé, I love that Zoé still feels like she could be Adrien and Marinette's future daughter!
Let's start with her appearance. She has blonde hair like Adrien, and blue eyes (and similar shape) to Marinette. And like Marinette, she has a black jacket and white shirt with pink flowers.
And their personalities. Zoé is a sweetheart, like Marinette, but also struggles with her her home life. Wanting to please her family even if it means not entirely being herself, just like our poor Adrien.
And just like Ladybug, Zoé initially didn't think she was capable of being a superhero. But after being convinced, she proves to be pretty incredible. More confident and even a little sassy, like a certain cat boy.
Oh, and she was willing to sacrifice herself so Ladybug could save the day. That too.
And I really love how Vesperia's costume is a balance of black and yellow. Almost like it could work as a balance of Ladybug and Chat Noir's colors. Well, you know what I mean.
One thing that was cool in "Queen Banana" is how Marinette said Zoé was perfect for playing the hero of creation, since she herself has the Kwami of Creation. Imagine if she unknowingly was talking about her own child.
I just think it would be a fun scenario.
Agree wholeheartedly. Also I personally think their eyes are almost indistinguishable in shape and they are both a similar shade of blue. In addition check out their facial structure its likeliness is uncanny. I myself was somewhat open to Marc being Hugo from the future, but Zoe is much more alike to adrinette than Marc. Before you say anything to diss this opinion Marc’s green eyes are a different shade to Adrien, and while the facial structure is similar to Adrien it is not nearly as similar as Zoe’s is to Marinette. In addition Zoe’s skin tone and in addition to her peach lips (have I reminded you of someone yet) greatly resembles Adrien’s. There you have it folks more physical evidence towards the theory that Zoe is a future Adrinette daughter. I personally believe she is Emma Agreste
