Hey if you’re someone who thinks that racism has a point sometimes, you’ve not a radical feminist. If you look a little deeper into the type of racism that women who call themselves feminist identify with, it’s usually around certain groups of men being somehow categorically worse based on race.
In order to hold this view, you must believe male lies. You must believe the lie that the reason men of a certain race or other status are “better”, “kinder”, “nicer”, or more biologically inclined to care about women.
Men of your race lie, rape, abuse, and hate women. Men of all races, actually.
The difference is one of cultural permission, and culture is in constant flux. For the same reason we don’t say certain groups of women are inherently more oppress-able because they live in countries with laws that oppress women more openly, we cannot say that men in those countries are inherently and biologically more oppressive.
They simply live in a society that prioritizes men more openly, and there is no social cache for reducing their violence. Sure, we can say that a modern German man might be less likely to think his wife is his property than other cultures—walk his lineage back two generations and you might have an SS soldier raping women in concentration camps. Sure, you can say that a white American man could believe in equality—but walk back three generations and you have a nest of the KKK.
Men are the same everywhere. They truly are.
But you know why we have racial propoganda around groups of men? Because they want you to think that *your* men will protect you. It’s the same as the fallacy that marriage will protect you from rapists and shame. They want you to believe that there is a class of men that will hurt you, and one that will protect you.
This is not true. If you, a white woman, think you are safer around white men, you are exactly the same as a woman who insists that *her* husband couldn’t possibly have been a rapist, despite the evidence.
If you think men of your race are safer, you have fallen for a lie of the patriarchy. That’s what racism is—it makes you blame an outside group in order to raise solidarity within the inside group.
Racism is collusion with men and the patriarchy.
