olruggio at any given moment without his husband:
i imagine post canon qifrey immediately tries to glue himself to olruggio. he's craving some comfort and some physical touch after being denied it for so long. so he's needy, and although olruggio worries everything may be too much for him (since, y'know, the tree was JUST removed) qifrey still insists to be /close/ to each other
but although he always says it'll be fine when olruggio asks, he instinctively flinches away and pushes him off when they hug, or kiss, or even hold hands
qifrey's just, like, really desperate to get what he's always wanted, but he can't rush into things, because he might just end up hurting himself and olruggio
thankfully, olruggio's always there to remind him that he can be patient, because now, they have all the time in the world
Colored a sketch that I like. Ngl Iâve always hated drawing digitally so I might just post more colored sketches. (ps I know that qifrey is taller, and I am joyous for that, just imagine itâs the composition/angle).
I have a lot of complex reasons for why I think brimhat Coco isn't going to happen but my least serious one is "If Shirahama had to draw this design more than once in a single chapter it would actually fucking kill her."
the thing. the freak. creature of all time.

i think what draws olruggio back to qifrey after their initial chaotic meeting is that olruggio hears the other kids gossiping about qifrey. not only that but he hears these kids wanting qifrey to fail.
he's stomping his foot, he's pissed off about it.
it's after the kids talk about qifrey in front of him that olly finds qifrey in the cafeteria. maybe he wants to make sure qifrey doesn't fail, just cause olly knows what that feeling is like. olly wants to spite those great hall kids just like the ones back home in ghodrey.
because olruggio can relate to that. he knows what it's like to be the subject of gossip.
he knows what it's like to know the other kids around you want you to fail even though they've never met you. olly knows what it's like to have people waiting for you to slip up.
do enjoy contemplating the idea that Oruggio made the Raincleaver for Qifrey when Qifrey went on his sad little soul-searching adventure

Shen Jiu actually doesnât spend hours on a beauty routine, he spends hours eating fruit and candy while Yue Qi does the beauty routine steps for him. Xiao Jiu neednât lift a finger. (Yes this does mean Ning Yingyingâ who is not supposed to know this is going onâ is plotting ways to get her stepdad the sect leader to do her hair and makeup too)
Stumbled upon this and voted for Howl because I embraced my defeatist mindset that scummies were too small to make an impact
I have since embraced the light and shed such a limited mindset
In the spirit of celebrating the sect leader getting into the four-way finals I pledge to write him pregnant
Don't jump off the ledge scummies you might just be reborn as the sect leader's baby đđđđđđ
Yes! Write đ him đ pregnant! đ
The collective power of the scummies rallying behind him has been a wonder to behold.
It has been so fun seeing the responses to my how many kids is Yue Qingyuan having poll, and I had to draw some of my favorites
@ardentarcane makes a great point perhaps he ends up with a skinzun at the end!
Or perhaps @atlanteayanying-blog has the right idea and it's a bingpup?
Or something else entirely! What do you guys think?
And don't forget to vote on the main polls to help support him!

Rambling About Coco's Brimhat Design
I've always intrigued me how Coco's brimhat design is so much... not really like her? I think we've never seen her wear something like this before. Like I can't really imagine Coco wearing a long dress on a regular basis, I think she would prefer something that allow her to move more freely. Also the color choice. I've seen the author drawing the dress in two main colors: very dark blue and pitch black, which is also no really like her?
Someone else (I think on tumblr or reddit) noted that the dress fabric's pattern is weird, since we know that Coco's specially talented drawing straight lines. I can't help but think that this circular/eye-like pattern may be a reference to Iguin, since Brimhat Coco is implied to also be Iguin's apprentice. We know that the pointed hat apprentices usually wear clothes that resemble their masters', but the same isn't true for the brimhats. It made sense for Coco to want to... continue the tradition? I'm not really sure about that last point to be honest.
It also must be noted that such pattern is not always present in the design. Sometimes the fabric is completely plain with no pattern.
Coco's hat has a row of tassels hanging from her brim. I think that's important since the tassel is strongly associated with Qifrey and being Qifrey's apprentice. But having them hanging from her brim and not from the hat's point (which has no ornament whatsoever) is... a choice.
I know that in the first paragraph of my post I said that this dress is 'not like Coco'. But I just have a thought that... have we ever seen Coco wearing something she choose to wear? Like in the first chapter she's twelve and still lives with her mother, already working and doing chores, so we can assume that her clothing is just the most practical option and not something she really likes that much. And after she becomes a apprentice and wears clothing that would identify her as Qifrey's apprentice. But being the daughter of a seamstress, she would absolutely know how to make this kind of elegant dresses. So, maybe she made it herself?
Something I always notice about Brimhat Design in general is, well, THE DRIP. But also, how free they're. Like the pointed hats attires are usually pretty much the same, with little variations like different ornaments, different colors, etc. But the brimhats go crazy, and I think that's pretty symbolic too. Something in the way they aren't limited by rules. I love specially how the brim itself can be made from virtually anything. The theory of Brimhat!Coco making/designing her own dress in an hypothetical brimhat arc is pretty intriguing with that in mind.
Now, I just have an idea, imagine this scenario: something happens that forces Coco to accept Iguin's offer. In the aftermath, she is still confused and lost. She starts talking to Iguin and ask them if they already have her new clothing ready (I imagine she would be still kind of shocked and just rambling and trying to think about more simple things because... you know, she's pretty much freaking out).
Iguin is like 'oh, yeah, you can choose whatever you want, I can take you to the tailor tomorrow.' And Coco says something on the lines of 'Oh, I pretty good at sewing, if you have fabric I can make it myself' and Iguin, as manipulative as they're, has already picture this conversation in their head and has a complete stock of different fabrics in their basement or whatever. (They're just that creepy).
So Coco starts sewing that same night because it's something she knows and it's useful to keep her busy and calm. But she also starts with the mentality: 'i'm gonna hate this thing as much as i'm gonna hate being a brimhat, so i'm making sure this looks like the most fairytale evil witch dress in the whole world.' But as she keeps sewing, she keeps adding details that she really likes, and by the end she realizes that she loves this thing. Like this dress is completely and truly hers, her design, the fabric she pick, made by her own hands.
And it's a terrible realization, the fact that being a brimhat has already gave her such freedom.
(I really want to write a fic about this.)
