[ID: quote retweet by Nooralhuda @/nsalhashim that reads:
Motaz Azaiza, one of the last surviving journalists in Gaza and the world's window into the genocide taking place against our people, shared these parting words today:
attached to the quote retweet is an image with the text: "The phase of taking risks to share our stories has ended. It is now time to focus on nothing but survival. I've shown you enough - and I've done it all for the sake of God and to serve my country. We're facing an internal siege with no way out. We're surrounded by tanks from all sides. The direness of our situation is unfathomable. We are not content for your feed: we are a nation being killed. Our cause is one of trying to not be erased from existence. We are alone."
bellow the quote retweet is the original tweet made by MoTaz @/azaizamotaz9 that reads:
It's about life or death now
I did what I could
We are surrounded by the Israeli tanks

We are surrounded by the Israeli tanks

Posting is not enough. Marching is not enough. Boycotting is not enough. Calling our representatives is not enough. We need direct action. We need to physically stop these weapons from getting to Israel.
And we need to hold our representatives accountable for the crimes they've committed. At this point they have shown that they're aware of what they are doing and are unwilling to represent the people and stop. And consequences will not come from the state. The people who carpet bombed Cambodia lived long, happy lives free of consequence. We can't keep letting this happen.
