sunshine!reader who has tried to escape from this horrid mansion plenty of times in the past two months. from climbing out the third story window, to stealing your phone back to call the cops, to just running out the door. all of which have failed miserably.
sunshine!reader who now realizes that is how you ended up in this situation: sitting on the bathroom floor of a room you once called your own, your back against the cabinet and your legs spread out in front of you, one having been wrapped heavily in bandages and a brace. your crutches having been stolen, most likely by one of your brothers to make you fully reliant on them, making it impossible to walk.
sunshine!reader who had just been showering, your crutches right outside the door. though, when you got out, they were gone.
and you knew immediately who took them.
sunshine!reader who groaned, leaning against the wall for balance while you dried off. you slid on a pair of grey sweatpants and a navy blue sweatshirt, careful not to put any pressure on your left leg.
sunshine!reader who hobbled over to the cabinet, sliding down leaning against it. your arm reached up behind you, flinging blindly to try and grab your phone. which you eventually succeeded in.
sunshine!reader who quickly opened your contacts, which were now just the bats and alfred. you had gotten your phone back almost a week ago after the fifth attempt of stealing it back, but not completely. all your social media had been completely deleted. most contacts had been erased. a tracker installed, along with so many firewalls.
and even then, you didn't know how to hack a phone.
sunshine!reader who tapped on richard grayson's contact, pressing the call icon. the phone rang.

twice
"hey, baby bird. missing something?"
sunshine!reader who felt so terrible for having to call him. having to rely on him. but what else were you going to do? hop around the mansion?
"dick. give me my crutches."
"no can do."
"why they hell not?"
"why do you need crutches in the first place? all of us would gladly carry you–"
beeep.
sunshine!reader who felt completely pathetic. tears welled up in your eyes, already beginning to flow.
sunshine!reader who waited to hear the sound of footsteps outside the bathroom door, then knocking following shortly after.
"birdie, can I come in?"
sunshine!reader who didn't respond, knowing that any answer wouldn't dictate the outcome. dick, a very fitting name for him, stepped into the bathroom, hastily walking towards you and crouching.
"do you want to stay in your room?"
sunshine!reader who had no choice in the matter. even if you wanted to leave, you couldn't. could not run through this labyrinth and escape even if you yearned to. not with your injury.
sunshine!reader who just nodded, unable to conjure up another idea of where to go. dick easily picked you up, a hand steadying you under your knees and the other under your back. he was so wide it must of hurt.
what a creep. was he always like this?
but the boy standing in the doorway most definitely was.

this was probably one of the worst ones I've written and I am terribly sorry about that. I really wanted to get it out to you all as quickly as possible. this one is definitely a filler chapter.
it will probably be one of the last parts in the series, the last one probably being part seven, which I've already started to write!

I was performing in my ballet studios production of Swan Lake and did like thirty shows. not complaining though, I love ballet with all my heart.
but the last show, I tore my ACL and everything has just been going downhill

sunshine!reader who hasn't even unpacked yet, though it's been four days.
sunshine!reader who has spent the days furniture shopping, doing schoolwork, going to the shops on her new pink bike, and rehearsals. the nights, however, were spent sitting on the floor around a box used as a table with slightly crappy americanized-chinese food, speaking with Ivy and Thiego about everything and anything.
sunshine!reader who is ecstatic to be able to live life like this now. no curfew, which didn't even to truly matter because none of them seemed to notice when she stayed out past midnight. no dinners she was forced into. no seeing her family hanging out without her. no galas. no people who didn't care about her.
sunshine!reader who, on this particular night, was alone in the apartment and trying to unpack.
which was mainly just you dancing to music that most likely leaked through the thin walls.
sunshine!reader who was not expecting anyone, much less your older brother, who currently stood in the doorway looking far too menacing for your liking.
sunshine!reader who stared at him, wide eyed. did alfred tell them about you moving out? you thought you told him not to. they wouldn't even notice.
sunshine!reader who quickly whispered "hi", which came out more like a squeak.
"so. are you just going to stand there or can I come in?"
sunshine!reader who just nods, stepping to the side.
sunshine!reader who honestly didn't know what to say to him. didn't know what to say to her own older brother
what were you meant to say after you left, didn't tell anyone, knew it most likely all your fault.
but was it truly?
sunshine!reader who spectated as jason looked around the very bare apartment. the only true things that he saw was the L-shaped couch, covered in colorful pillows and blankets; the coffee bar set up on the counter with a espresso machine that you spent most of your savings on and a little wooden shelf that hung a few mugs; and cardboard boxes littering everything.
sunshine!reader who watched as he turned towards her, clear annoyance across his face.
"you're not staying here."
sunshine!reader who stood there, dumbfounded. he had no right to decide that. actually, it pissed you off. he never gave a shit about your safety before now.
sunshine!reader who immediately blurts out "why do you think you can decide that, you jerk?" Before covering you mouth with your hands. she didn't mean to say that out loud.
even if it was deserved.
sunshine!reader who noticed the frustration on jason's face, slowly backing away.
sunshine!reader who didn't know whether to be scared or not. he was your brother, he wouldn't hurt you on purpose, right?
right?
sunshine!reader who watched as he slowly approached you. why was this escalating so fast? was he truly upset with you? he didn't seem to care before, why now?
sunshine!reader who didn't expect him to grab you by the neck. didn't expect him to push her back up against the wall, her back sliding up it and her feet barely grazing the floor now. didn't expect him to start squeezing down on the pressure point.
sunshine!reader who tried to do anything. grab his wrists and push him away. kick him in the gut. scratch him.
is this why they never taught you self defense?
sunshine!reader who's vision was now flooding with black, her ears ringing and the faint taste of blood filling her mouth.
"let go, please. jason-" you were cut off by him squeezing harder.
"sorry, kid. but if you are not going to listen, I'm gonna have to force you." he said, squeezing tighter, glaring.
sunshine!reader who didn't realize when she fell unconscious until she heard jason gently saying something. something like:
"night, kid. maybe tomorrow you'll learn how to listen."

he only hoped that you wouldn't be upset seeing him.

but neither of them went to go look for you.

alfred pennyworth who quickly realized he was wrong when damian came storming into the living room, where everyone was currently standing, demanding to know where reader was.
alfred pennyworth who watched as everyone questioned if damian truly could not find you. the mansion was big, he could of just missed you.

alfred pennyworth who did not know if he should tell them where you were. he specifically remembered you telling him not to.
