Anyone have any good two person board/card/tabletop games they like?
Tak and backgammon are two strategy games I enjoy (both with online versions that can be played as well if you don’t have a board)
battleship, is about the only two person board game I can think of
umm canasta is a card game, it requires two decks and can seem complicated to some people, that my family enjoys and can be played with two to four people.
Idk if you have it or if you’d consider it a board game but twister can be really fun even with two people.... you just take turns spinning the wheel with the added rule that you can only move one limb to spin with. Jenga and Boggle can also be played with two people but I also don’t know if you’d consider it a board game.
You can play bs with two people by randomly shuffling two decks together and then counting out a decks worth of cards without looking at the faces. That way every number/face card has anywhere from 0-8 versions in the ‘deck’ so you don’t know what the other player has by what’s in your hand. (You can also make your ‘deck’ smaller so the game goes faster this way)
That’s all I can think of right now sorry
Call to adventure is a really great two to four players game, with a focus on storytelling!
Scopa is fun! It’s a slower game and takes some time to learn the rules but I enjoy it because it actually engages some strategy which a lot of card games don’t have too much of that.
