though every rat is special, it's a wonderful and unusual thing for their accomplishments to be remembered and cherished by so many people so many years later. we're all so fortunate to know about the rat who banged out the tunes!

Rat Update

Our sickly invalid Meadowlark Lemon has fully recovered from his brush with death (ie literally having his throat cut to remove a lump) and has gained 30g (according to his weigh-in at the Vet) over the past fortnight!

They're all still very young but we had our first proper weigh-in today on my kitchen scales and funnily enough Meadow is now about 10 grams ahead of Trondheim, the pale grey bitey-and-yet-bold one that squeaks at me when I pick him up, but quickly settles down and wants to sit on my lap or chew on my clothing when I play Slay The Spire while the others run around on the sofa. He often seems to stay separate from his brethren, which is interesting as they were all from the same litter.

#i love my silly babies and their quirks #Biggins is always friendly and curious but Marjan (who is pretty much a carbon-copy except for having a darker tail) is more stand-offish #It's a happy day when Marjan wants to cuddle
