Cuties
Guys I truly adore the entire main cast of MASH. I think all of them are excellent. But Burghoff is so far ahead of the pack itâs incredible. What other actor, living or dead, could do a silly drag act as their characterâs own mother and make it fucking heartbreaking? Besides being a hot mess of tears whenever I see this, I am utterly in awe of it.
Slutty Witch
Oh pleaseâŚ
I canât do this, Sam.
SAM IS THE REASON THEY MAKE IT. It angers me SO MUCH that when Aragorn and friends go up to the gates of Mordor to act as a distraction he turns to them and says "For Frodo"
FUCK YOU ARAGORN YOU HANDSOME BASTARD- SAM IS THE ONLY REASON THEY WERE ABLE TO DESTROY THE RING. FRODO TRIED TO LEAVE SAM BEHIND- TWICE! IF FRODO HAD HIS WAY HE WOULD'VE FAILED/DIED SO MANY TIMES OVER
Am I the only one thatâs a just a tiny bit pissed off that this is still an issue?
The Original Series wasnât even in the general VICINITY of fucking around yo
How many shows these days would do this, and do it this way? These days, it would be all, âOhh, we have to be sensitive and show the nuances of each sideâ and try not to make either side seem wrong. It wouldnât be clearly spelled out, âpro-choice is right, if youâre against it youâre the bad guys.â
Jim Kirk is not here for your anti-birth-control, anti-choice, pro-death-penalty BS
James Tiberius Kirk was written and portrayed as a feminist and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
Yep. Â That episode is exactly what you think it is: Â pro-birth control, pro-population control, pro-choice, and pro-womenâs right to choose. Â And yes, Kirk, the supposed playboy of the spaceways, is in favor of all of the above.
It was written and aired in 1969. Â
It probably couldnât air today.
THINK ABOUT THAT.
Also LMAO at all the sad whiny geek boys who are like âI miss the GOOD OLD DAYS of SCI-FI when it wasnât all about SOCIAL ISSUES and instead it was just about MEN HAVING FUN IN SPACE. Like Star Trek! Star Trek wouldnât put up with all this SOCIAL JUSTICE FEMINISM IN SCI FI bullshit!â And meanwhile Iâm just over here like ââŚdid you actually watch the show?âÂ
General: Iâd like to thank you in a way you can all appreciate.
Hawkeye: How about surrendering so we can all go home.

Is this not fanfic?
Larry Linville comments on his MASH character Frank Burns
âI think there is a misconception on the part of a lot of people in this country that Frank Burns is unusual. My hope is that they see he is not unusual. He is fairly ordinary. He comes in sleeker packages. God knows. I hope when people think about who they are going to vote for, or who theyâre going to work for, or whatever, they cast an eye toward Frank Burns and say âNow, does this person behave the same way? Am I dealing with this kind of monster?.â Watch for him, be careful of him there are Frank Burnses everywhere. Learn to know the type. Donât elect them. Donât make them chairman of the board. Frank is a dangerous man because he acts without reason, often without true intelligence, and, perhaps more importantly, with no real knowledge or perception of what consequences an action will bring out. He is not a man with perception and, consequently, he is incredibly dangerous.â

Season 3 thoughtsâŚ
i love the fact that like⌠if you wanted to you could throw a chair⌠stoolâŚ. lamp⌠medium sized houseplant⌠even a lightweight tableâŚ. theres nothing physically stopping you from throwing furniture around, only social constructs and your own cowardice.
Not social construct and cowardice. My own laziness at the thought of how long it would take to pick up the pieces.

Meryl Streepâs Lifetime Achievement award speech hit all the high notes.
Streep and Fisher were close friends for many years. The Florence Foster Jenkins actress starred in the screen adaptation of Fisherâs semi-autobiographical 1990 novel Postcards from the Edge.Â
