Eva Stratt does NOT need a redemption arc. Eva Stratt did EVERYTHING WRONG so that no-one else would have to. Her hands are permanently stained with blood so humanity gets to keep on living.
at some point The Character stops being a character and starts being a close personal friend
Apologies if anyone has ever said this thought before or had thunked it, but a lot of the people Iāve had this conversation with have seemed to immediately think that the Eridianās would immediately be oh so kind to this new race of humans and immediately accept and never attack / colonize, while thinking humans would immediately selfishly overtake and destroy. I thought for a while and om my second watch of the movie I realized that it may just be because of first impressions. I, too, think this way and after more thought, I realized why I actually do.
In the movie, Graceās immediate reaction to seeing the ship that Rocky travels on, and even terrified that blimp B is a bomb. But Rocky is nothing but kind in trying to reach out for a helping hand and trying to contact this human in a way that is understanding. While Graceās first reaction is fear and terror, Rockyās is kindness and curiosity. You could say this is just their individual personality traits, with Rocky prepared to go on this mission and excited to see other life in Grace subconsciously knowing he unwillingly went and is terrified of everything. But you could also see it as a representation of the human and Eridian race, donāt you think? Humans always jump to the first chance to fight, to run, always assume the next person is dangerous and thatās why we have wars, while we can assume the same with Rockyās initial reaction and using it as a representation of the Eridians. Theyāre all curious in nature and just want to see.
Spideytorchers PLEASE get back to work I seriously cannot take the fandom being dead again š«©
so if i want someone to read my writing i have to ACTUALLY WRITE IT?!?!?
youāre telling me they canāt read my mind and see how fucking good it is???
Hi Pitt fans Iām new here donāt slime me out but does anyone else see the mentor mentee relationship with Robbie and Whitaker??? Anyone??? I feel insane cuz everyone ships them I just feel a more father-son mentor/mentee
I feel as though, and correct me if Iām wrong, Peter Parker from the comics is a dog person. But a cat wonders into his fire escape one day and despite his distain for cats he feeds it.
Grumbling to himself as the cat screams at him through the window, and heās opening the can and setting half of it in a bowl because he knows the lil guy will throw up if he eats the whole thing. And yet he insists he doesnāt like the cat.
Mj:āPeter since when did you have a cat?ā
Peter:āitās not my cat. It just hangs around, I donāt really like him.ā
*the cat is sitting on his lap*
Mj: āI could take it off your hands if youāā
Peter:āNO.ā
What am I thinking about?
Nothing just after the Thunderbolts how everyone in New York was in the void. How Peter Parker mustāve gone through everything over again, first uncle Benās death (if he even exists in the mcu), then getting dusted, then Tonyās death, then Mayās, then the doughnut scene probably.
the outsiders as text-posts/chats part 3
my favourite one is "i wouldve called u faguette" lol, whats urs :)
Darry is such a 20-year-old boy. The fandom views him as this middle aged dad, but he is very much a 20-year-old big brother supervising his younger brothers while he himself is left unsupervised. Heās the embodiment of that quote āin my defense I was also left unsupervised.ā
He eats chocolate cake for breakfast and lets his brothers do the same. He tells his brothers not to do anything that would land them in a boys home, but he fights in rumbles, lets them fight, hangs out with criminals, is ready to hide Dally from the cops, etc, because gang code and greaser code is sacrosanct in that ride-or-die, ritualized, romanticised way your social structure is at that age. (Also because thatās the only support system they have.) He has a rivalry with his high school best friend that theyāre both still really hung up on. He shows off by flexing his muscles.
Darry Curtis is a hormonal, adolescent, barely-not-a-teenager who should absolutely not be solely responsible for his brothers.
Guys please tell me I'm not crazy for this. But in "The Outsiders" we all know that Steve R is 17 and Johnny C is 16. But if you look at their birthdays, Steve is born 04/15/49 and Johnny is born 03/01/49. So wouldn't that also mean Steve is 16 AND younger then Johnny only by like three weeks?
"What's your favorite horror movie?"
Idk probably when Ponyboy tells Randy that he was the one who killed Bob and not Johnny
Idk probably when Johnny died knowing Dally was the only one who was proud of him
Idk maybe Darrel's reaction after being called in by the teacher to discuss what Pony wrote about him.
Idk probably the fact that Johnny could take a beating from his dad, but the Soc's scared him to death
Idk probably when Soda finally told Darry and Pony how he hated being dragged into their fights
Idk probably how Sherri might've reacted when she found out her boyfriend was dead
Idk probably how Sandy broke up with Soda while Pony was gone, so he didn't have anyone to talk to about it
Idk probably how the Curtis brothers felt after their parents died
I fear once Darry made such a traumatic and dark joke about his depression and parents death that the whole gangs just stared at him slack jawed for a good thirty minutes while he just hummed away paying bills and making dinner
successfully got my therapist to see outsiders and she loved it so much that she called me just to tell me lol-she made it a point to tell me how much she loved brodyās voice (and compared him to bunsen boone, lol) and how kind everyone was. she did tell me security seemed uppity tho, likeā¦tense i think is how she described it? but she said everything was lovely and she LOVED the rain scene and it kinda makes me wonder how they recycle that water since she asked me about that, hahaā these are the kinds of experiences i like to hear about.
i got another one into the musical tho, itās like a virus
ive been lowk neglecting this blog im so sorry gang
