See, the thing is, businesses should never have been based on rapid exponential expansion to begin with. No business ever should have used profits to grow larger before using them to pay livable wages. The typical business model always should have been to remain small enough that you share wealth with the staff who generated that wealth, only expanding when there is genuinely way more demand than that staff can keep up with anymore.
