My brother told me his concept for a movie scriptā¦ So its Alvin and the Chipmunks but its set like 10 years after their fame. Alvin is having a lot of issues with being a chipmunk because of their short life span..he starts playing records slowed down to listen to what his voice would sound like if he were a humanā¦. (Also Dave is now played by Bruce Campbell.) Theyāre getting old and tired of their act and theyāre not doing as well as they used to. Theodore starts coughing really bad during one of their performances at a sketchy dive bar and they have to take him to the vet. The vets all like āWell, theyāre chipmunks Dave. Im surprised theyāve lived this long.ā Dave learns that he will inherit all of their money once they die. He basically keeps it on the DL and limits their spending so he can have max cash. Alvin finds out and heās FURIOUS. Heās like āYOU NEVER CARED ABOUT US!! Not even Theodoreā¦ā He solemnly looks at the shoebox buried in the yard. This starts a rivalry and even though theyāre still in character, they want to kill each other now. Its like home alone traps except with knives and stuff. Bruce Campbell Dave gets a harpoon gun though and Alvin starts a fire. Simon goes āALVINā¦WERE TAKING THIS TOO FAR! Im going to try to stop him!!!ā He runs downstairs to talk Dave out of wanting to fight and is pinned to the wall with the harpoon..killing him instantly. Alvin screams NOOOOO!!! The fire gets bigger and eventually traps both Alvin and Dave. They settle their differences when theyāre all like āSo this is itā¦..ā The house is engulfed in flames. End movie.

Quick question, but was there ever a US president who was a legit good person?
Closest ones I can think are Teddy Roosevelt (though as a person he was VERY bullheaded and stubborn), Abe Lincoln, and maybe Chester A. Arthur from what I remember of him
JFK was pretty decent and thereās speculation his refusal toĀ āplay the gameā is part of what got him killed.
The Kennedy family had a lot of fucked up shit going on in the background, but in office he was a decent guy; citizens loved him so much the whole country was crushed by his assassination. Lincoln wasnāt the saint heās usually painted as, but he was relatively cool for a politician. Washington was solid. The real issue is of course that good people do not want to be president; anybody who wants the position values power over service, so youāll only really find a good person in office if they didnāt want to be there.

Grover Cleveland walked the walk when it came to his beliefs AND his faith in the American people. He essentially kinkshamed the political machine that was turning the government into a āpaternalā figure in national disasters. Cleveland was a firm believer in the American people and abhorred the idea of the government becoming a monstrosity that the people depended on. Case in point a powerful hurricane hit the south that devastated infrastructure. Cleveland ran on a campaign that promised to stop bloating the government and he stuck by it. He publically called for donations and relief efforts from the people themselves than to have the federal government take care of it.
Essentially, he was one president that resisted the urge of setting up FEMA camps and instead put his faith in the American people. And he was right.
Americans raised over 8 times as much money privately for the damage of this hurricane than what a bill proposed in congress that he vetoed. And the response was faster than anything the government would have been able to do in the first place. By not having the citizens rely on the government they were able to rebound much faster than sitting around waiting on emergency response from the feds.
This was not long after the civil war when a major concern at the time was an expanding federal power. So at least during his term he slowed that down some.
