I never read the books, so I can only imagine how disappointed you must be about the changes for the show, because even after only hearing about them... Wow. Rolin and Hannah are really screwing every character up. Well, even with the changes, Lestat is still my absolute favorite and I don't see that changing no matter what other crime they pin on him. Probably because Sam Reid is such an incredible actor. However, I don't think the fandom will ever be able to come around to Gabriella after what they've done with her in s3. I feel bad for Jennifer, cause I truly believe she could be amazing with the right script :(

I was disappointed four years ago. I made my peace with the changes back then. That's why I've been totally unaffected by the latest trial brouhaha and remain largely indifferent to the majority of fandom discourse.

S3 was a delight for me. It gave me so much of what I dreamed of seeing for over a decade. I loved it all....other than the finale and the lack of book canon Armand. I take the good with the bad. But see, that's always been my approach to the show since 1x05. Yes, there are mistakes and glaring issues. However, it still satisfies me and makes me happy. I still see enough of my Lestat to fill my heart with joy.

This fandom....is on a different page than me.
