All cats the same
Hereâs an easy guide to remember some dog names.
reblog this post with a cool animal species lets make a wholesome thread
ok ill give a headstart:
i really like leopard sealsÂ
axolotls are p rad
I LOVE THOSE
potoos look like muppets and i ove tem
hereâs a quokka itâs like someone decided to splice together a wallaby and a teddy bear they literally always look like a benevolent cartoon
i donât think you can get more wholesome than that adorable lil seed-eating smiley face. theyâre not even like dolphins, cute on the outside and evil on the inside. theyâre herbivores about the size of a cat. there is nothing wrong with them.Â
The Springhaas, or âirl pikachuâ as it is sometimes known, is basically a rat shaped like a bunny abruptly caught in the middle of trying to evolve into a kangaroo. This is why they tend to look startled.
This is a dik dik. They are tiny antelopes from southern and eastern Africaâseriously so smol. With teeny hooves and teeny horns and big soulful eyes. And the name is fun to say. It comes from the alarm call that the females make. They live together in monogamous pairs.Â
Long Eared Jerboa
The adorable mash-up of a hamster, bunny, and kangaroo. Whiskers with no end, ears that put a fennec to shame, and adorability beyond measure!
bringing this back on your dashes
a sichuan takin bull and his daughter
often the color of donald trumpâs hair and looking like a cross between a bison and a guinea pig, the takin is actually a bloody big goat-antelope. they have splendid noses, a natural smile, and share their habitat with pandas. which should be good enough for anyone.
This is an okapi. They are related to giraffe, can lick their own eyeballs and kind of always look like you just asked them for a ride to the airport but look at those ears and the little striped legs ~(*^*)~
Chambered nautilus! A living fossil! I also love axolotl though.

A cinnamon bear! Actually a member of the black bear family, theyâre one of the more calm species out there. We also have matching hair <3 Enjoy this one with a heart on its chest!
Red pandas!

This is the most wholesome post on tumblr.
I love echidnas
ESPECIALLY BABY ECHIDNAS
Fennec foxes!!
I love all of these!
Capybaras! Theyâre the largest cavy species,(cavies are animals like guinea pigs) Theyâre BASICALLY a giant golden retriever in the skin of  guinea pig.
MANATEES
Theyâre just big lumps that float around the sea. Theyâre non-aggressive, non-territorial herbivores that spend most of their time sleeping or eating, or they might be socializing with other manatees or investigating interesting objects.
Best of all, as of this year they are no longer endangered!!
Maine coons!! So soft and friendly!!!
Look at these babies!!!
Majestic af!!!Â
MANED WOLF. Basically what a fox would look like if it was a supermodel.
Favourite post.

BLUE DRAGON MOLLUSK. Super tiny (~3 cm) but theyâve got a hella painful stingÂ

This weird lilâ pokemon is one of two species known as Flying Lemurs, from Southeast Asia⌠Although itâs not actually a lemur at all. Nor does it fly. Itâs all just good PR. These lilâ guys are arboreal gliders, and they live on leaves and fruit and such things they can nibble softly. How cute is that?
How about a sugar glider?
theyâre cute
your dog needs meat and your kids need vaccines. end of discussion.
Also your dog needs vaccines and your kids need meat.
Also your meat needs vaccines and your kids need dogs.
what these are all true

LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES
every time I reblog this my sister sends me a message to the effect of âthank u for reposting that cat video on your tumblr i have seen it so many times but it delights me every time because their paws are so gentle and gracefulâ
Dogs running in the Yukon Quest show off their dog blankets in a ceremony before the start of the race.Â
Dog blankets are a First Nations tradition designed to be âpleasing to the eye.â They have experienced a resurgence at the 2017 Yukon Quest, where they were represented in opening ceremonies. (x)
so after a brief google search i found that they arenât just meant to be pleasing to the eye. theyâre hand made over several MONTHS and are meant to honor and respect the dogs. from what i read it seems that the blankets are meant to take attention away from the musher and put the dogs in the spotlight, as THEY are the ones actually doing the racing. so basically this is the most beautiful tradition and iâm so happy itâs making a comeback
@pekoodat, re your tags: The woman who initially started the project is Florence Moses of the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre sewing group. Some of the women who participated in the project can be seen below:
(Left to right, Nyla Klugie-Migwans, Velma Anderson, Florence Moses, Pauline Livingstone and Elizabeth Moses with their blankets. Below, left to right, are blankets made by Shirley Adamson, Diane Olsen and Karen Lepine.)
The blankets were made for Mandy and Armin Johnsonâs dogs, once they expressed interest. I believe their dogs were also the first team to run in the ceremonial opening.
You can read an overview of the resurgence here. You can read more about the creation of the blankets and the thoughts of the women here. And you can see closeups of each blanket here.
i am the most stressed out laziest person ever i donât even know how i do it
hey guys friendly reminder from your fave Canadian that esk*mo is a slur so please donât use it!
I see it usually in the context of âesk*mo kissesâ which may pop up when people talk about their ships and their headcanon, but it means âsnow eatersâ in cree and is a slur against Inuit people so please just donât use it!
and I would appreciate if u reblogged this because people outside Canada donât seem to know this for the most part
Also if you want to refer to ââeskimo kissesââ and not use that term the Inuit term for it is ââkunikââ. Itâs a traditional greeting usually between relatives or a child and an adult, although itâs a little different from nose kisses so most Canadians call it ââInuit kissââ and Iâve heard other people call it ââbunny kissesââ. Either way thereâs no excuse to use ââeskimoââ in this context or another.
