I will literally never get over what Fury Road did with Nux and Capable.

I will never get over how this boy starts off begging the world to Witness™️ his spectacular death, how he yearns to be seen and for his end to be seen by Immortan Joe, how his WHOLE CHARACTER revolves around 'dying historic on the Fury Road'.

Just like any Warboy, Immortan Joe is his everything. He would die for him, kill for him, eat, sleep, live and breathe for him. But all it takes is one small act of kindness from Capable, someone talking to him about his unavoidable death in a way that is not glorifying, and that image of the Immortan shatters.

And in the end when he dies, historic, on the Fury Road, he doesn't call out for the world to witness him. He doesn't ask to be seen by any other Warboy or even the Immortan Joe himself.

He just points at Capable, the first person to treat him like something other than expendable, and asks her to witness him.

Daily reminder that in most other timelines other than the main one in the show, Jayce and Viktor were likely as doomed by the narrative as Jinx and Violet were - to forever end in some sort of tragedy, regardless of circumstance. And a second reminder that the show was likely one of the few universes where they didn't get that ending, and that the solution to that was LOVE.

I'd go as far to say that the driving force in most other timelines that led to a bad end was, unfortunately, violence. We see the start of the 'bad timeline' when Jayce chooses to kill Viktor on the whim of Mage Viktor's instructions. We see the 'intended' ending where Jayce and Viktor fight in the final episode (more violence!), and it's only when something else comes in and gives Jayce time to pour his heart out, do they resolve things.

Mage Viktor's solution doesn't work, because the solution was always love. Not death, not fighting, but the very simple message of 'I love you, down to the mapping of your bones.'
