I think about Rogue Amendiares 100 times per day. She's often misunderstood, in universe and by fandom. She was a true punk rocker. Then she had to play the game or die. I genuinely believe Rogue seeks balance, as much as she can muster, as much balance as she can control. The nomads and the Badlands and beyond clearly appealed to her... But she took her shot at Arasaka. Night City, in a way, is her prison. Her cage.

Johnny and Alt both died for the cause, in different directions. Alt becomes something of a deity and Johnny is horrified to see that his belligerent sacrifice changed nothing. Of these three figures of legend, it's only Rogue who lives, who makes waves. Just... insane.
