the haikaveh ending scene - 'home'
Alhaitham and kaveh’s final scene in the archon quest,,, oh boy
Kaveh being upset that the house is destroyed and holding that, as the owner of the house, alhaitham should be rightfully upset, and that he’s essentially just a ‘helper’ in this situation, which alhaitham calls out since it’s THEIR possessions that are affected, it’s THEIR home! The divide that kaveh puts between them, with him as a tenant and alhaitham as the home owner, and the way that alhaitham instantly elevates them to both sharing the responsibility to be equal…. yeah
On one hand I find the push and pull dynamic between Alhaitham and Kaveh funny and enjoyable.
But on the other hand I sometimes feel a bit of pity for Kaveh… although I feel like these interactions are mentally stimulating for Alhaitham, and also creatively stimulating for Kaveh (who turns anguish into a source of inspiration).
I've noticed that when Alhaitham responds in a fully functional, short and empathetic way, the spark fades and they both move on, and this could actually be healthy and positive BUT Kaveh has a tendency to spiral downward, blame himself, and sacrifice himself. So, when Alhaitham replies with irony, Kaveh reacts strongly and that's when those "sparks" between them appear, and on top of that it also gives Kaveh a boost of confidence.
I also think that if Alhaitham didn't find some level of enjoyment in this dynamic, he would've ended it long ago since it's not particularly convenient for him to maintain. And on the other hand if Kaveh truly felt as bad as it sometimes seems, he wouldn't invest so much energy in Alhaitham or pay attention to so many details about him.
Kaveh is empathetic and has a tendency to sacrifice himself for others, yes, but he doesn't seem to be as consistently focused on people in general as he is on Alhaitham. There are even very specific details about Alhaitham that he remembers more clearly than about his own mother.

I fucking love this video
This is the closest thing to a smile I've ever seen this man do for media
To our dismay, the artist and author Marjane Satrapi has passed away.
As she wrote, ordinary Americans and Iranians have more in common with each other than we do with either of our governments, which have far too much in common with each other.
We honor her memory and oppose the war.
I laughed so fucking hard at this
this is the first time in my life i thought oh i hope there’s music
I think what made me the happiest about the Kendrick v Drake beef was that for a moment there, we were all listening to rap as rap is meant to be listened to. Active listening, media comprehension, focused, fun, and all to the sound of the spilled blood of a man's career being curb stomped. Generational experience. 10/10 would experience for the first time again.
