Hello! My name is Justus Reinhardt and I enjoy writing: articles, comics, poetry and prose stories. I am 32 years old, live in Southeastern Massachusetts, and have been a freelancer (a private English tutor and content writer) since May 2018. Through my compositions, my goal is to help others. No Longer the Villain is a long-overdue poem written about my dad.

We've had a rocky relationship throughout the years, but nowadays, there's not much else to it than what is said in this post.

I love you, Dad, and I'm so glad that things have been better between us.

Also, I've recently been producing some music w/ AI tools. I acknowledge (and personally believe) that this music will never be as good as art made in larger part by human hands.

However, I've really enjoyed writing and singing (experimenting with spoken-word parts) for this album. I've also learned a bit about basic production.

I've been working on a big project lately, and it's probably about 80% to 85% complete.

I still have to add some finishing touches - which means writing more poetry (among other things) - but I can't wait to share it with you all. 🥰

I recently posted flowerpots I made for Heidi's birthday. This design (on canvas) was produced as a result of that same creative endeavor. I also just gave this to Heidi.

I feel like a kid since I'm discovering art and am now giving my creations away as gifts (alongside other things). I hope Heidi actually likes them!

But hey, it's the thought that counts, right? Lmao!

Though yesterday was Heidi's birthday, she was still away at General Conference for most of the day. Today, we'll celebrate and spend more time together.

I'm immensely grateful to have fallen so deeply in love with someone who makes me feel seen and who embodies all the values this world so desperately needs.

Also, I painted a flowerpot as one of Heidi's birthday gifts!

I'm very proud of it because I'm an inexperienced paint pourer. This was my first time working with something other than canvas!

I made some mistakes during the sealing process and touched up a few spots, but I tried not to show that in the photos. Lmao

I wrote an article discussing Max Bemis' most recent releases and life events (as of the start of June 2026).

Bemis is a renowned indie rock musician and frontman of the band Say Anything. He's been involved in other projects as well.

For instance, Max has written comics for publishers like DC and Marvel. He also invented Song Shop for music-related commissions.

I recently watched "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" for the fourth time. This is impressive because I rarely rewatch movies! Now, with another reboot planned for September 18, 2026, by acclaimed director Zach Cregger (of "Barbarian" and "Weapons" fame), I’ve decided to write a pros-and-cons, bulleted list review.

In a previous post, I read this poem, entitled "Bloodlust." I also explained that this entire poem is an angsty expression of my intrusive thoughts.

I composed it months ago during a much more difficult time. Nonetheless, it's meant to represent the anger and uncertainty residing within us all.

Sometimes, it can be difficult to trust ourselves, especially when we lack confidence. I've found that it helps to take a step back.

Celebrating small wins while reflecting on how much progress we've made can make things more manageable.

Overall, I've been doing quite well. However, I know that there will always be that "other" side to me...

.... that which is the manifestation of the symptoms of my diagnoses, and which makes life frustrating!

Heidi's dad, Jody, is back from the hospital, and I'm so glad that he's already feeling much better.

I'm also so grateful for my relationship with Heidi's parents, the fun we have together, how they spoil me, and how they treat me like I'm one of their own. 💕

In this 3-minute clip, I discuss the background of, and then read, my poem, "Bloodlust."

I talked for a while before reading the poem because I want everyone to know that I'm doing mostly well and that this is just my angsty way of expressing myself.

Regardless, I still have the thoughts expressed here from time to time.

For instance, my friends and family know that I suffer from insomnia; yesterday, I slept for over 12 hours during the day because I was anxious, depressed, and didn't sleep the night before.

I'm grateful, however, that even on my worst days, thoughts of self-h*rm are only passing (or intrusive) thoughts - thoughts that I still write about but otherwise don't linger on!

I'll be off to see Snail Mail play in concert this evening. I've been listening to their discography on repeat and even recently watched "I Saw the TV Glow," a movie that Lindsey Jordan acts in.

It should be a lovely night and time well spent with my wonderful aunt, Michelle!

Heidi chose these really cute Halloween costumes for us this year to match her pillows. Boo! 👻 💙

We had a fun, lowkey night at home watching Misery, handing out candy, and spending time with my family. 🥰

On my third attempt, I completed my first "successful" acrylic paint pour. I like it for what it is! Haha

It's called "Pig Demon" after the abstract face I see in the middle of the canvas. Does anyone else see what I see?

The most important part is that I'm learning and am enjoying myself in the process!
