To me nothing sums up Bucky and Steve better than that second gif. They mirror each other with a few notable differences. Bucky has a sniper rifle strapped to his back in lieu of Steve’s shield. Bucky’s shade of blue is a bit darker than Steve’s. Bucky himself is a little darker than Steve. If Steve was the symbol, Bucky was the weapon. Bucky was always something of a weapon, HYDRA just turned him into a literal one.
