So…clearly I hate this. This is the one and only post I’ll make about it as to not generate more involvement in it. LMAO honestly is there any marauders fans that are excited for it? I doubt it or at least slim to none.

Because of course all press is good press when it comes to media. I’m sure lots of people will even ‘hate watch’ the series. But these things are counterproductive to our goals! I will not be watching and I encourage anyone thinking about watching it to reconsider.

The trans community needs everyone to pull together and let this die out as soon as it starts. Show the world that we won’t accept such a hateful person making more money from us.

My thoughts on all the young dudes potentially getting reworked for traditional publishing.

TLDR: atyd is maybe getting traditionally published and I’m not a fan. Download atyd now if you haven’t already just in case.

Things like this are hurting fandom culture and the amount of times now that different fanfics are getting turned into actual published material makes me feel like eventually it’s gonna be the ruin of fanfic culture. Like not everything needs to be an actual book.

One of the most beautiful parts of fandom is that it’s people getting together to make stories about these characters in this world that everyone loves so much and it’s accessible. It’s free. It is a labor of love. It’s not monetized. I’m just scared that like this moving into the marauders fandom as well is not great.

We’ve seen it happen a few times with dramione fan fiction, but I don’t have as much knowledge to speak on that. Having said that I feel dramione is more well known and kind of falls in line well with the current increase in dark romance books on the market.

I feel like all the young dude is a little more niche. The marauders fandom is a little more niche. Honestly and selfishly, I don’t really want to let those that would read it through traditional publishing in on it so to speak. Like this is such a safe queer space! Everyone can be in some way part of the LGBT community! Everyone can be anyone. No one (for the most part with the exception of a few bad eggs) judges if a character gets coded as a different sexuality or a different gender or anything like that. I feel like the general public will ruin it.
