Sid has learned how to meow (god help us all)

ever since omen (the mysterious black cat) appeared sid's been meowing a lot more often, usually at her. however, the past few times, she hasn't even been around. just now, I heard him meowing his head off, so I went out to check on him. I find him in the outdoor seating area of the pub down the road, meowing at nothing. then the little asshole just trots back to my house like he didn't just interrupt my youtube bingeing. I'm starting to think this douche is just fucking with me.

don't remember if I posted it but this is omen. she doesn't do anything, just sorta sits and watches him. she seems nice though.

I swear my dad likes this dumb cat more than me lol. he likes to decompress by going out and hanging with him, giving him treats and shit. there's nothing more special than the bond between a dad and the pet he said he didn't want.

A new side character

this is the as-of-yet-unnamed black cat who's been visiting lately. I suspect sid is trying to romance her by chasing her and screaming at her. she does not seem to reciprocate, as yesterday she was furiously flicking her tail, looking like she was about to slap him (I made him back off lol). She's a sweet girl, very timid, and I love black cats so she got bonus points in my heart.

my dad forced sid to move away from the wall so he doesn't bother the neighbours with his shenanigans. too bad he keeps screaming pathetically whenever he sees that black cat, much to my chagrin. he doesn't seem to mind the change as much as I thought he would, though.

little man loves warm weather. I came home from a shit day last week to find him napping by the lavender like this. it's funny how a cantankerous half-feral tomcat has ingrained himself so deeply in my family.

one of his favourite spots recently is under the living room window, near my spot on the sofa. might be because the sun warms up the concrete, might be because he just wants to be close to me, I'll never know.

he demanded to come in. didn't even want treats or anything, just wanted to be a silly little man. funnily enough, after I took this, I heard him yowling, and I saw him being stared at by a new cat I've never seen before. so I guess we've got a new side character :)

he loves the sunny days and sits in his hut looking miserable when it's raining or hailing lol

recently he's also discovered one of my neighbours isn't usually around on weekdays so he's taken to relaxing in her flowerbeds. I'm not happy about it, but she doesn't seem to care and it's not like I can train him not to.

lmao he never realises ronnie is there until it's too late. they're still not on good terms, but they have a good system. whoever gets in first gets the food, and the loser gets distracted with treats until the other leaves.

my current favourite colonist

this kid is one of my favourites because of the sheer fuckery he's been up to since he was old enough to walk:

-he's the son of a deserter raider who gave birth to him while imprisoned during a 2 year long psychic rain and I never adopted him cuz I didn't wanna take him away from his real family

-the moment he was old enough to walk he tried to break out of the ship. completely naked. in a ship full of incredibly powerful fighters with ultratech weapons and abilities. in space. it took a lot of effort to make sure no one killed him

-I tried to calm him down by getting someone to give him some candy. turns out his religion is against recreational drugs and he as a 3 year old had enough comprehension of it that he got really pissed when candy was forced on him

-I enslaved him so he could be a temporary colonist cuz the plan was always to release him and his mum when the psychic rain ended. for some reason the kid decided to commit to the bit and wear a slave collar, which I never told him to do

-his mum is a go-juice addict which strained their relationship a lot. I suspect that's why he decided to stay in the colony after he was officially emancipated

-he still wears the slave collar despite not even being a slave anymore.

-his real name is Akakios. he decided his nickname is going to be Mattman. no idea where that one came from

-he killed his first harpeagle when he was 10. Didn't even get hurt

Can't wait to see how this absolute gremlin turns out when becomes an adult

the current state of my garden beasts

I found young ronathan weasley's broken collar on my garden wall a week or 2 ago, so I ended up messaging the number on it. turns out his owner is a nice woman who lives down the hill, and even though he has a loving home, he likes to larp as a feral cat and goes through a collar a month lmao. she said he's getting stinky, so he'll be having a bath soon. unfortunately for sid, he's been coming around almost daily now the weather's getting better.

sid's been enjoying sunbathing and relaxing around the garden. I started putting the doormat outside for him to lie on and he seems to like it, although that spot wasn't great cuz it was too close to the birds for his liking. he's very happy about the good weather since he spent most of winter stuck in his cabin. he's been going for walks regularly and he loves it when I skid treats across the laminate for him to catch. yesterday I spotted him across the street and he came running up to me when I called his name. it's always amazing to me how such an antisocial cat can be so relaxed and kind and unproblematic.

I also found out recently he can scale the back garden fence so he's not beating the urban panther allegations. this little man's just been pretending to be old and feeble, conserving his energy for stunts like this. always full of surprises is this beast.

Hey guys, sorry to break character but I could use some help.

As some of you have seen, I have had extended periods of time where I went missing, followed by short bursts of being here then going missing again. In horseposting cannon I like to call it “the glue factory” but irl I have been very sick over the past year including losing two organs due to endometriosis. One of the other major issues has been non-epileptic seizures. After officially receiving a Functional Neurological Disorder diagnosis and discussing treatment options I have decided to pursue getting a service dog. I have been approved for a dog, but the cost is still pretty high. Because of this, I am running a fundraiser to hopefully cover whatever costs I can. okay, so if you're like me and you're wondering why there is a blood worm moon, it turns out that it's two separate things. March is the worm moon because in the Northern hemisphere that's when the ground is usually thawing and all our little worm and bug friends start waking up! And then the blood moon is when the moon passes through the Earth's shadow and looks sorta red. This year, the worm moon happens to be a blood moon.

No bloodworms are involved.

Other names for March include Sugar Moon and Goose Moon, so if you don't like the sound of blood Worm Moon, you could say Red Sugar Moon or Shadow Goose Moon.
