there's no-- oh okay music started
this is it, last episode of season 14
this is the LAST season finale, the last cliffhanger of the show
it HAS to be good, it has to
I am seriously at a loss for words
the smoke, the red lights, the alarms, Jack's silhouette, his glowing eyes, the fires
this is maybe the scariest shot of the entire show
Dean saying he's going to kill Cas' kid, the anger, the staredown
Jack being overwhelmed by all the lying and forcing them all to tell the truth, oof
they can't lie, nobody can lie
Wow, the President made a deal with Crowley, no surprise there
"I am the Stapler Queen!"
couldn't fucking show up earlier, could you?!
if Dean doesn't fucking punch his face in, I'm gonna be pissed
they're trying to find Jack
oh and Cas and Chuck showed up
Dean didn't punch him, but he destroyed his fucking guitar, that's something
NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT YOUR HOBBIES CHUCK
Wait wait Chuck's onto something
he said fighting the British Men of Letters was a weak storyline
so, now we get a new Colt? that can kill everything? like a Mega Colt? what the fuck, this is shite
see, I don't think a Dean/Cas relationship could ever come back from this
there isn't a future for them, not after this
which is why the show should have ended in season 9, maybe even before that
wow Castiel, that was a fucking weak anger punch
we are not setting up a storyline of multiverses
we are not going to be traveling to other worlds and other universes
Jack threw Cas to the side
and now Dean's going to kill Jack
Jack's not even fighting him, he's willing to accept his fate
this is wrong, it's all wrong, it's just wrong
from Dean, from the story telling, from every possible aspect
it all happened so Chuck could watch Dean kill his own son
Chuck wrote everything, he wrote it all, he's enjoying this
i'm just, my brain's just, mush
this is it, the final stretch, the final battle, the last enemy
every monster they killed? I remember all of those, or at least, similar ones
alright, I feel like I should take a moment to write down my thoughts
this is my first time watching past season 9, this is genuinely my first time watching seasons 14 and 15
I do know how 15 ends, but that's it
I've seen parts of 15x18 and 15x20, but nothing else
I have no clue where this is going, the fight with Chuck
I'm confused, but not exactly excited
I'm not a fan of how they turned Chuck into such an unloveable character, because I liked him! as Chuck, not as God
I hate God, but I think they did it brilliantly to have him be such a fucking manipulative asshole, because it's the only logical explanation for why a being with his power would let humans suffer: he doesn't give a shit, about anyone or anything
when he gets bored of a world, he moves on and makes a new one, that's it
and that is perfect, because it works, it's believable and it works
but I'm so sad they decided to make God Chuck
at first it was cool, to think like Oh, that's why he knew everything, and also, it made Cas' rebellion even more powerful: he stared God in the eyes and said "fuck you, I'm going to do whatever to save Dean Winchester"
but now, now it's just...
it feels like they ran out of ideas, it's felt this way since season 8, but this is worse
IT MAKES SENSE to have their final fight be against God, but all the nonsense inbetween makes this much less of a big deal than they wanted it to be
they beat the Darkness, they went to other worlds, they werw roommates with a nephilim with the powers to disturb humanity in its whole, God/Chuck just isn't that big a deal anymore
I don't know, in the moment, it felt epic, "The story's over. Welcome to the end."
it's so ominous and final and like, yes, this is actually the end, there is nothing after it, this is it
and the final shots of them being attacked by a bunch of undead was just so bad, visually speaking, it looked so wrong for some reason
I think s14 had good, even some great episodes
not convinced s15 will have any above "decent"
