I was going to transcribe this, but looked it up instead after seeing the username. Brown Butter Brownies from Broma Bakery!
The single serve double chocolate chip cookies that I pretty religiously make like four times a week are from Broma Bakery and they are so decadent and rich and amazing, I def recommend their recipes.
milk bread coffee cinnamon rolls
Strawberry Nectarine Pie
Pumpkin Spice Snickerdoodles
Do any of u have decent recipes that are like 5 ingredients (not including spices) and take 45 mins or less to prepare i gotta stop eating sandwiches for dinner
yeah hang on
ignore the title of this google doc because it's a long story but it's a really solid recipe for southwest chicken alfredo
this is a vegetarian potato curry recipe that's about 75% spices; once you get the potatoes in there you can really do whatever you want with it
this is literally just pasta, broccoli, and cheese babey and you can live off that shit for DAYS it makes such a big portion
bro this spinach/pesto/3 cheese flatbread is so fucking tasty bro
also you can make the flatbread yourself it's super quick!!
oh hey I'm eating this white chickpea chili right now, much like the curry it's mostly spices and you can do p much do whatever you want with it
don't let the name fool you these potatoes are delicious any time. not just breakfast.
this is slightly more than five ingredient when you add them together but if you have time and really wanna fuckin treat yourself I recommend these chicken strips + this cornbread + either these potatoes or these buttered veggies on the side.
My girlfriend made this pasta for us the other night and it blew my mind!
1 lb cherry tomatoes, rinsed 4+ cloves garlic, peeled and halved block of feta (sheep is ideal) 1/3-1/2 cup olive oil black pepper to taste
8oz pasta and reserved pasta water
fresh basil combine the first 5 ingredients (tomatoes, garlic, feta, oil, pepper) into a casserole dish and stick it in the oven. you don’t have to chop any of it, just halve the garlic
set a timer for 20 minutes. roughly chop your basil. fill a pot with water for pasta. text your friends. clean your cutting board and knife.
When the timer goes off, reset it for 20 more minutes and set the water to boil. cook your pasta as directed. Scoop out a cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
When the 2nd timer goes off, take the casserole dish out of the oven. add most of the basil, reserving just enough to make a cute garnish. mix the pasta in, adding a bit of pasta water until it’s a consistency you like.
you have now made a fancy pasta that smells and tastes amazing. It has a couple of meals in it if you ate well that day/are small-to-medium-hungry, but it will satisfy you for one meal if you are BIG hungry.

with everything that’s going on with bon apetit, i thought i’d just share some of my favorite recipe-based youtube channels run by people of color
just one cookbook - a super wide variety of japanese recipes. easy step-by-steps and all the recipes i’ve tried have been delicious
souped up recipes - chinese recipes - very informative videos and tasty food - i love her personality too
maangchi - who doesn’t love maangchi. delicious korean recipes and a fabulous personality
get curried - a huge variety of recipes from various regions of india
simply mama cooks - my fav for tejano food. i believe she’s a mexicana married into a korean family, and draws a lot from that
immaculate bites - mostly quick ‘tasty’ style video recipes focusing on southern us, african, and carribean foods. easy and delicious stuff!
stove top kisses - fun and delicious recipes and the videos are super fun to watch - mostly american food
j kenji lopez alt - author of the book ‘the food lab’ - he’s maybe my favorite recipe developer out there. all kinds of food and hes super knowledgeable
Here are some vegan channels run by people of color, as well!
gourmet vegetarian kitchen - super creative projects. i personally find them very inspiring since she does things like make vegan cheese or ferment soy beans over the course of months
peaceful cuisine - he makes asmr & recipe versions of videos. everything is vegan. lots of desserts and traditional japanese cuisine
rachel ama - vegan food with a frequent caribbean twist! I love her! She has her own cookbook
cheap lazy vegan - her channel has an angle of vegan food intended for low budgets. she creates a lot of simple recipes. she has a recipe ebook as well as a free newsletter
All the flavor, none of the bigotry!
Side note: I always knew that chicken tasted vaguely of pickles.
Also you can recreate Chick-fil-A sauce, too:
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (optional)
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
Bear Choux Pastry

Not to be a food blog 24/7 but the chicken of the woods? To die for. We sautéed up a bunch and made fancy ramen with them, ft. homemade pork broth, sweet corn, smoked tofu, scallions, and a tea egg. We invited our mycologist buddy over to share dinner and sent her home with some of the remaining mushrooms to try cooking herself — we have some mushroom risotto plans for the remaining batch! 🍜🍄✨
