pet bears? IMAGINE that. the brunette laughed at the question, which she found to be more peculiar than her own statement. ❝ um, no i just take care of them. i’m a zookeeper. ❞ when she first got the job, she hated it. she firmly believed that animals should not be caged. but by the second week in that profession, she loved all the animals and didn’t want to let them go, and since then she’s decided she was going to take care of them with all her H E A R T.

natalie was genuinely INTRIGUED by the peculiar statement the other person made.  her curiosity grew a little more when she mentioned BEARS.  the ginger haired woman loved those creatures, and just had to ask the other a question.  it definitely wasn’t because of the hat she was wearing, nor was she looking for an explanation.  ❝  bears ?  may i ask what you do for a living, if you don’t mind me asking of course.  ❞

There was no booth to track down, nor was there an attendant in site – specifically the attendant she gave her keys too. She should have known a boutique that had valet service, even in LA, was going to suck. In a fit of desperation (and annoyance) she did the unthinkable, “Um, excuse me!” She called out to the pedestrians passing by/leaving the store she just left, “Do you know where I can find the Valet booth?”

fifteen years. FIFTEEN YEARS, she’s been living in Los Angeles. and still she looked at the other lady, mouth agape and mind completely blank. where was the valet booth? she didn’t go shopping much and defintiely not one fancy enough to have a valet booth. she always just window shopped and passed by shops that were extremely exquisite. only because she’s almost always in her Z O O K E E P E R uniform and it was hard for her to by a Prada bag with a Zookeeper’s salary. ❝ i’m really sorry but i have no idea. ❞ she looked around, hoping to find some sort of sign that pointed to where the booth was. finally, thank goodness, there it was. an arrow pointing left that said valet booth this way.  ❝ maybe try following that arrow? ❞ she pointed past the lady’s head and to the arrow.

riley’s always taken a liking to STRANGERS that played the guitar. she always gave money to the people who sing on streets with the guitar. she found it almost poetic. the noisy city in the background, the sound of the strings, the musician’s voice. and if she was lucky enough to meet the stranger with the guitar, she found them to be rather G E N U I N E and authentic.almost as if the  instrument across their body says ‘genuine person’ like how some sofas say ‘genuine leather.’   ❝ i have no doubt in my mind that you’ll be good. ❞ she said, accompanied by a shy smile.

She sighed, as she perused the homework assignments she’d been handed back. It was obvious to her who had done their homework and those of whom had parents that felt the need to coddle their children. In such cases, she gave the assignments a passing grade. It wasn’t the child’s fault their parents were dunderheads, and she wasn’t about to punish them for it. She picked up her coffee and took a generous swallow of the caffeinated goodness with a thoughtful frown.

thought of STARTING a family, nonchalantly flowed in her mind, as the lady started talking about her son. well first, the thought of food, entered her mind but now it was the idea of a family that lingered on her cerebellum. would she ever start a family? does she want to? questions that entered riley’s brain as the lady talked more and more about her son. but would she ever find the right person to start it with. that was the M I L L I O N dollar question. she gave the lady a smile. ❝ there’s a good Italian place a few blocks from here and your son sounds adorable.  how old is he? ❞

A SPLITTING HEADACHE . she’s spent the previous night  ..  well , she doesn’t quite remember at this point . a few blurred memories and then it all goes black. and sure it was her friend’s birthday but hey , it was a CELEBRATION !  “  shhhh . ” she sticks out her finger across the table at cozy brunch spot ; was the other even talking ?! designer label sunglasses rest upon bridge of her nose , bloodshot eyes peering over black brim . “ does this place sell alcohol ? even a fuckin’ mimosa would work at this point . ” combatting a hangover with more alcohol , very sensible reyna , good choice !

well this would be a story to tell; her favourite elephant gave birth today! well, it wasn’t really a PARTICULARLY good story to tell, but nonetheless a story. so if she ever had to stumble upon a stranger today, that would be a good conversation starter. ❝ i, um- i don’t really know. but there’s a cafe across the street and it has good peppermint tea. and i’ve heard that herbal tea eases stomach pain and decreases nausea ❞ and she didn’t add the bit where she herself has never E X P E R I E N C E D a hangover, so of course she wouldnt know if the tea actually works.
