Spoilers for the latest BNHA chapter!

With all the people saying, "I wanted more Aoyama content but not like this," I think it's called something like a monkey's paw wish.

Like those genies who use the specific wording of the wish to twist it to make it a bad thing except the wish is granted with the original intent but changes in the world around them to make that wish come true are bad things.

For example, a princess wishes she and her secret commoner lover could get married instead of her being forced to marry a stranger. Instead of the prince dropping the engagement and making a peace treaty with her kingdom anyway, her ex-fiance rides in with an army and takes over her kingdom, killing her parents and she barely makes it out alive with her lover. They're technically able to get married in the end as the princess isn't a princess without a kingdom to rule and isn't betrothed anymore.

A continuation of this train of thought about bnha x Danny Phantom crossovers.

Midoriya could be a student at Casper High with no powers but a strong desire to protect people from evil ghosts like Phantom does. But after bravely and stupidly trying to fight a ghost on his own, Yagi saw his potential and offered to train him as a ghost hunter. Whether OfA is metaphorical or some inheritable halfa thing, idk.

One day Mina (a ghost) finds a natural portal straight to the human world and immediately grabs all of class 1A to join her in exploring the human world as none of them had ever been. Of course Iida tries to stop them but it's too tantalizing and several rush through the portal, followed by their friends telling them to come back, and ultimately followed by Iida who resigns himself to try and reign in the chaos.

Casper High is immediately overrun by excitable teenage ghosts exploring the building and trying to join in on human high school activities. Danny is out on the field during gym and is alerted via his ghost sense just in time for Kirishima to fly up and start to make a speech about manliness while Shoji and Sato carefully pod at and test the exercise equipment.

At least thanks to Kirishima's sunny disposition, Danny learns that they're just out of control teenagers so he tries to just corral them at first, only ending up with the few who don't approve of the chaos. But that was before Dash insulted Bakugou's hair and now there's a crater where a wall should be.

Midoriya of course decides this is the appropriate time to make his debut and promptly lands him on Bakugou’s shit list for all of eternity before getting his ass handed to him like Danny did in his first few fights.

Danny and Bakugou end up in a dogfight, Danny having lured him outside to mitigate the damage, and it's not looking good for either of them. The rest of the class is watching, either cheering on one or both ghost boys or tensely wanting for it to just be over.

That is until a absolutely demonic man rises out of the ground, multiple sets of blood red eyes peering out from what little of his ash-grey skin that could be seen, his neck and hands not excluded. Danny felt his powers leave him the moment the man glanced his way, harshly dropping him to the ground and leaving him with only his transformation still active (so no identity reveal). Even worse was when the off-white scarf wrapped around and around his neck like bandages practically jumped off his shoulders and sprung at Bakugou, wrapping him in a cocoon and muffling his screams of rage.

The rest of the ghost teens didn’t even wait for him to look at them before they gathered on the ground, their heads down and silent like the dead except for the audible shaking of one or more of the kids whose bones apparently literally rattle when they’re scared. 

The man just silently points them in the direction of the portal and they practically chase each other to get out of there faster. He turns to look at Danny, his eyes no longer glowing but before he can say anything, Danny blurts out, “Don’t blame me, he started it.”

Bakugou continues to scream through the cloth over his mouth but is left just kinda flopping around like a very angry fish. 

“What’s your name, kid?” is what the man finally decides to ask first. 

“Uh, Danny.”

“You don’t sound very sure of that.”

“I wasn’t expecting you to have a normal voice. With the kind of power you’ve got over those kids, I was expecting a loud echoing demonic voice, not a very tired bass.”

The man said nothing, just closed his eyes (all of them), and pinched the bridge of his nose like he had a headache. 

“I’m ignoring that illogical statement. My students won’t be bothering you again unless they want to spend the next milenia in detention with me.”

The relief was a little obvious on Danny’s face. 

“Good because if I had to deal with them on top of the rotating itinerary of assholes who want my head on a plate, I think I’d have to get an intern.”

“So it’s true that you are the so-called defender of this part of the human realm? And you aren’t teammates with the other teenager who tried to take on Bakugou?  And yet I saw part of that fight and you’ve obviously never been properly taught how to utilize your powers before.”

Danny sputtered out some bald-faced lie but had been read like a book. 

“Here,” Aizawa grunted, pulling a business card out of one of his pockets. “When you want to make the fights easier and shorter and significantly less hard on you, come talk to Principal Nezu. He can probably get you into just the training classes as you already go to human school for your core classes. Just don’t agree to let him study you, he’s got a bit of a thing about using interesting ghosts as lab rats and you don’t want to be on his operating table.”

“Uh th-thanks?” Danny tripped over his words while trying to process everything the guy (teacher?) just said.

“Good luck kid. Because whether you take up my offer to be my student or you choose to keep “winging it” in every fight and barely avoiding losing the other half of your life, you’ve got a long road ahead of you.”

And with that, the man picked up the cocoon of fury that was still trying to wiggle away and took off, hesitating a moment at the opening of the natural portal before turning back to nod once before disappearing right back into the ghost zone.

So we've seen plenty of crossovers where Danny Phantom is in the BNHA universe but like, where's the ghost class 1A content?

Where's the fanfiction of Midoriya being given his halfa powers like in canon and him having to try and blend in with the ghost teens while Bakugou tries to figure out why this Deku kid looks familiar? Or look at it from Danny's POV where he stumbles upon UA in the ghost zone and is dragged to the principal's office by a furious and impossibly terrifying ghostly Eraserhead who thinks he's just a punk kid skipping his first day of ghost school.

My self-indulgent AU uwu

the Wisteria Garden is a small cafe of light traffic in the city of Musutafu.

Izuku drops out of public high school to enroll in an online course in order to maintain the cafe after the responsibility is passed to him.

Izuku is the proud owner of a fairly useless glowy hand quirk. It seems that whenever he clenches his hand in a particular way, his hand glows a bit. He mostly uses it as a reading light.

One day after an encounter with bakugou going a bit too far, Izuku cleans the men’s bathroom of the cafe after closing. He’s still upset. In an uncharacteristic fit of emotion he punches the mirror above the sinks.

He was expecting a bloody fist not.. this.

Hhhhhhhh now there’s a rift in the men’s bathroom between his dimension and ambiguous ‘others’ which is.. something for sure.

The women’s bathroom is converted into a unisex and the men’s a storage room because.. yeah no the hole izuku punched through the mirror is still there and it seems the only thing getting through are cats but oh not just any cats. They’re cats from different dimensions, and thus FUCKIGN WEIRD.

the first cat that pads through greets him with a solid “hey”.

So.

Hm.

With the first cat as a translator, he manages to communicates with the cats that happen to come though that they are welcome to roam about the cafe, but that leaving would probably not be the best idea bc he doesn’t know when the portal will close (if it can)

Whatever as long as they don’t cause trouble.

Eventually a regular notices a difference in cafe company.

It is well received.

I rather like separating the bnha world from dp- so uh I have an lil au called the Stray Cat AU where Danno regularly wanders around the world in his free time bc zoom zoom his ghost powers make him really fast

And maybe during one of his jaunts through a sparsely populated part of rural Japan he accidentally zoots himself through a natural portal, a thin part of reality that occasionally connects his world with the quirked one.

Unfortunately he doesn’t notice the accidental trip he’s made and continues to wander around. Eventually he happens upon some towns folk- the rural area is more lax on the public quirk use laws so he’s not immediately told off, but this also means the towns folk b using their quirks in-front of Him.

He’s understandably spooked and is like Woah What??? He tries to call his friends with his ecto-broken brick phone but uhhhhh it doesn’t work.. which is weird bc it’s been known to work from every other corner of the world he’s found himself in thus far…

while trying to zoom back home, he crosses into urban Japan and is Even More Confused. The architecture of the streets are tweaked to accommodate mutant type quirks and OH MY GOD MUTANT TYPE QUIRKS??? Does that dude have a fish head??? huH?!?? His blatant disregard for the Law goes over a bit worse here… especially when engaging in vigilantism.

Boom time! There’s a villain causing a ruckus and Danny gets on the scene and sorts things out quickest as he’s Right There. The Heros’ that show up arrest him on the spot.

It’s probably important to note that Danny has about a unit 3 Duolingo level of understanding of Japanese. This does not help him understand the situation very well.

Of course uh none of the cuffs they stick on him stays for long.. but uhh he allows them to lead him away.. mostly bc he just wants to know what the hells going on. They quickly get a translation quirk on the scene and Eraserhead for good measure bc NOTHJNG IS REALy KEEPING THIS BOY HERE.

Turns out, Eraserhead cannot in fact help when there is no actual quirk factor to erase. Danny just wanted answers but he’s quickly juggled up the chain of command as a fuckn anomaly- uhh Foreign Affairs get involved bc he’s American and uhh turns out he does not exist, which kinda sucks.

he probably figures out by now that he’s not in the universe he woke up in that morning.

shenanigans shenanigans blah blah blah he’s in the custody of UA’s finest and ends up as a TA, given how “naturally gifted” at heroics he is- while trying to find his way back home.

AU where All Might Fanboy Izuku desires to be a villain, but only because he’s aching to fight and be the first to defeat All Might. Bio Dad for One doesn’t like this, because that means that he’s the one in turn who won’t get to beat the No.1 Hero.

Cue the supervillain convincing his son into becoming a Pro Hero.

All Might himself is probably enabling Izuku.

AFO: “What do you got there?”

Izuku: “A knife!”

AFO: “Okay… For what?”

Izuku: “Stabbing All Might!”

AFO: “Nooooooooooo! My knife! Find your own lifetime nemesis!”

AFO, flipping through Izuku’s Plans to Defeat All Might notes: “How did you come up with all these ideas, dear Izuku?”

Izuku, happily: “Your comic books!”

AFO: “...My fascination with villain plots is coming back to haunt me in the worst way possible.”

All Might, cheering Izuku on with his scheming: “Beat my ass, Young Midoriya!”

AFO, snapping: “Don’t encourage him. He was raised by an infamous murderer and demon lord.”

With the first real touch between you and your soulmate marked on your skin permanently, handshakes can become proposals, an unexpected high-five could be the beginning of a life-long relationship, and bumping into a stranger could intertwine your fates for eternity.

But for those whose soulmarks are way outside the norm such as a punch to the stomach or a hand around their neck can indicate much more than their first meeting.

What are you supposed to do when the deck that fate hands you includes nearly dying in their arms?

[...] This was enough of a cue for Shouta to get the hell out before the combined extrovert energy gave him a headache. But of course, Hizashi either purposefully coincidentally chose that moment to drape himself across the entire couch, including Aizawa’s lap.

“The article itself is like, 500 words of repetitive bullshit but  look -”

He held out the cover of the magazine to show first Yagi, then Nemuri. Shouta was forgotten but he had already read it when Hizashi was waving it around earlier. 

“They think I’m hiding my soulmark under my  mustache!” 

“I’m surprised they think there’s enough hair there to even cover something like that. What, did they think you grew out a tiny triangle just to-”

Hizashi took a half-assed swing at Aizawa, prompting him to get shoved off the couch and onto the floor. (Luckily for him, he’d taken off his Directional speaker beforehand.) He immediately popped back up and glared at Shouta. 

“Oh so I’m fine to roast but if I talk about how proper my handshake soulmark is compared to whatever the fuck is going to happen to you-” Aizawa’s eyes glowed that deep blood red as he cut off Hizashi’s voice and then proceeded to wrap the poor hero into a cocoon.

Nemuri shamelessly laughed at Hizashi’s downfall while Yagi tried desperately to keep his laughter contained and hopefully mitigate Shouta’s rage. “If you don’t mind me joining in, I can share the most ridiculous theory I’ve ever heard about my own soulmark.”

A she-wolf would have been less dangerous than the beast Nemuri became when she sniffed out gossip. So with both All Might and Yagi always being fully covered up from the top of his neck to his toes, anything she could get about this would be prime material.

Nemuri practically jumped on him. “Spill, Number 1. I can’t wait to hear what crazy theory you’ve been put under.”

Despite leaning as far away as possible, Yagi was beet red.

“Does having a full-body soulmark count? Some gossip reporter decided that I must have met my soulmate while on the job and they could turn a part or all of themselves into liquid. They swept me up and ta-da, that’s apparently why I wear so much fabric.”

Nemuri leaned in just a tiny bit too close. “Well, is it true? Are you a literal golden adonis from the neck down?”

Yagi flushed a dark red as she leaned towards him again, this time in a more provocative way.

“N-No, it isn’t. That’s why I called it a theory.” 

Somehow Hizashi had managed to wiggle Aizawa’s scarf out of his mouth. “Then can you spill the deets here? We’re all friends and we’ve got two of the most public and one of the most underground heroes in the business here. We know how to keep a secret.”

All the casual bravado and humor Yagi had been exuding immediately shut down like someone had smashed the one light in the room. Hizashi responded with an expression that looked like he wanted to remove his tongue and throw it out the window.

In the most uncharacteristic action made in his life, Shouta opened his mouth to try and save the other hero’s pride. [...]

I recently started working in hospitality, and I’ll tell you guys right now, the trope of “there was only one bed” is not as rare as you’d think in real life. A few times a week, at least, I have guys come in who are working together on projects in town or passing through who have to literally book the last room I have available for the night and lo and behold — there is only one bed, and guess what, they give each other a side-eyed look and begrudgingly take it. So write it up, it happens all the time!!!
