Cozy Glow as a follow-up to this post and heavily inspired by Wingding's Cozy Glow
Defective filly, daughter of nobles who have better things to do than look after their freakish child.
Young prodigy, volunteer assistant for the School of Friendship, Cozy Glow is extremely aware of her image and how to weave her words in order to get what she wants. Unfortunately, no amount of good deeds, puppy eyes and sweet words get her parents' attention as well as mischief does.
In her little filly logic, her parents' jobs were stealing them from her (and really, they don't even need it! They're rich enough already!). So, if she was able to cause just enough trouble, they'd only have eachother, and they'd HAVE to love her then!
There's something so tragic about a little kid trying so hard to get her family to love her only to be disowned... and find family in someone who knows exactly what that feels like
I freaking love these two, man. They're found family 3000, literal parallels (unloved and misbehaving prodigy child desperate for parents' validation eventually digs themself into their own tragedy) and pairing them is so fitting for both of their arcs.
Everything Tirek does eventually circles back to his resentment towards his family, and he'll never be able to get closure on it (because realistically they're all dead by now); but now he found a little filly who is going through the exact same thing he did, and by comforting her, he's comforting his inner child too.
The best way to redeem this old man is to give him his devil daughter, man. He really needed to see things from another perspective. And hey, now he has a chance to see his life's tragedy from another perspective — as HE is playing the father role this time — and do the things his own father never did. Prove that he's more than what Vorak thought he was.
And by Root, he loves this kid. Look at her. Heh.
She's so intelligent, knows how to argue, knows how to stand her ground. She's brilliant but has spent her whole life thinking she's a monster. What better way to heal than to be adopted by THE monster of all time, who tells her to love herself and arrest whoever does not? HAHEHE.
Cozy became a defense attorney because it resonated with her: she believes in Twilight's morals and takes pride in defending the most wicked monsters there are; the murderers, the abusers, the bullies, the cannibals... because who knows? Maybe they could be good monsters, too.
