Summary:

Jason knew that his soulmark was different from that of others. Where those around him had names tattooed on their wrists or timers ticking down until a fateful meeting occurred, Jason was stuck trying to decipher blobs and splotches covering his hands and arms, paint-like stains that infuriated him in their vagueness. This wasn’t like those who could write on their skin and have someone else write back. No. That would be too convenient for the life of someone like Jason Todd.

My random update after months of being offline: I've been stuck outside my house for about half an hour. For all normies, this is a travesty to my House Hermit™ ass. I have been made to non-consentuallly touch grass and be...ugh outside...because my dad forgot to wait for me before he left the house to drop off my sister at her work. I was going to go shopping with him to pick up some stuff that I needed. Lo and behold, I take just 3 minutes to quickly change into something that wasn't my pajamas, the front door is left open, which he usually does to show that he's waiting for me in his car. I cannot see where he parks from the front door. His. Car. Isn't. There. And I shut the door behind me. I don't have my keys with me. This sucks.

Update: I HAVE BEEN FREED FROM THE PRISON THAT IS OUTSIDE!!! I shall soon return to my natural habitat (after actually getting to buy the thing I needed).

(Now I shall vanish back into the aether until I remember that social media is a thing that I can actually also make posts on instead of just watching random YouTube shorts and compilation videos.)

Honestly? Not surprising. Been theorising that I've got Autism (at least HFA) for a while now, even discussed it with my therapist before, but I haven't been 'officially' diagnosed.

Does anyone else ever just get ideas for OC/fic ideas and just, like, make note of it somewhere to get lost in the void that is procrastination/writer's block/lack of motivation?

Like, I want to write this, it sounds so cool, and I want to explore this character/idea more, but just...can't?

I have over 20 OC character sheets, 7 superpower/quirk (for the MHA fans) concept ideas and at least 4 short fic ideas/prompts just sitting in my notes app, but I just don't have the motivation to actually do anything with them. Some of them are literally years old by now.

And don't even get me started on actually finishing something that isn't just a one/twoshot at most. I have a WIP that's over 24k long so far that's taking forever to finish because I'm trying to write a long fic and each chapter is at least 7k so far and this current chapter is just sapping my motivation every time I try to write it, but I have so many ideas I'm excited to incorporate but those can only happen later and it's taking forever.

Am I the only person who feels like Eurylochus, especially him, and the rest of the crew act like real hypocrites after what happens in Scylla? Like, they all conspired behind Odysseus' back during Keep Your Friends Close to open the wind bag, despite their Captain telling them not to, even saying that the bag contained the storm, so they were the first to betray him.You don't just wait nine days for your captain to be exhausted before acting against orders, you have to plan for that shit. And Eurylochus is even more of a hypocrite because he was literally the one to tell Odysseus that they should abandon the three scouts who had been taken by Circe. Then he even has the audacity to stage a mutiny, attack their captain and conspire to use him as a sacrifice to appease the Sun God after killing one of his cows for food, but started following Odysseus' commands when confronted with the consequences of his actions, also sounding shocked and betrayed when Odysseus chooses his life over theirs during Thunder Bringer. And then Eurylochus tries to put ALL the blame on Odysseus just because he's the captain, "If you want all the power, you must carry all the blame!", after Odysseus calls him out that he would've made the exact same decision.

I know I should be finishing my current fanart project but I have been hyperfixating on EPIC: The Musical for the last week and had to get this out of my brain. This took just over 6 hours T^T

Fun Fact: Did you know that Odysseus is Hermes' great grandson? (This makes the fact that Hermes basically drugged Odysseus after nine days of no sleep during Wouldn't You Like so much better lol)
