Fifth set of custom skills. Can you guess the central theme for these? They were all commissioned together.

Painted Knights of the Planes
Love the colours, feels very insect and beetle. But I also really love the yellow guy, his chainmail reminds me of corn mixed with a praying mantis. Very surreal, very fun!!

Reminder, I am not the actual CDC so any policy changes that happen are not my doing. I am just a very passionate observer
They are correct! (Most of) These changes are my doing! I am very busy.
It is important to give credit where credit is due.
Why doesn’t this have more notes, this is classic Looney Tunes comedy. Investing at 911 Notes.

I suspect this was meant as a visual pun because this server is rated for 733 watts, almost exactly one metric horsepower
I love how whenever I rb a few pictures of a david dastmalchian photoshoot or red carpet look I always get half a dozen people responding "GURATHIN SLAYS???" in the throes of the same level of absolute shock as one experiences upon accidentally spotting a favorite middle school teacher out at a rave. yes. yes, indeed, gurathin does slay.
frankly gurathin is slaying absolute penis
now the two main camps of responses to this post are "damn, sorry sir, I only knew you from playing a depressed slaying-intolerant pathetic cyborg, I wasn't aware of your game" and "of course gurathin slays, obviously gurathin slays, being that bitchy and unwell is already a severe level of slay."
there i fixed it
This is a really shitty thing for someone to do. It’s insane to believe that this woman who has literally built and supported business across multiple industry is somehow less capable of becoming a lawyer than literally anyone else who ISN’T a lawyer… not to say that anyone who is a practicing attorney is has the ability to gauge the capability of someone they don’t know, personally. Anyone who isn’t supporting this, is a piece of shit.
You misunderstood the point of this post, let me explain:
As someone who spent money and grueling time to go through law school, take the bar, and become a lawyer, I have a knee-jerk, eye-roll reaction to any statement that anyone *will* be a lawyer when they haven’t yet done any of what it takes. Kim has to first pass California’s “baby bar” on first year courses before she is even eligible to take the actual bar, which basically no one who does the apprenticeship route ever passes.
Her dad was a famous lawyer and she has all the resources she wants at her fingertips, and good for her that she wants to take on this challenge. But telling the world that a college drop-out doing an apprenticeship is to definitely be a lawyer three years from now is misleading, and annoying for me to see, that’s all. This profession is not a right, nor a shiny thing you can just buy. It’s a privilege that you have to earn with time, money, and a lot of hard work, and even then requires luck to get.
This has aged well
It is now 18 days from 2022 and Kim has finally passed the baby bar, which means she has two more years and the bar exam left
🍷
Am I back after more than three years of not posting to note that Kim Kardashian failed the CA bar today, November 8, 2025? Yes I’m that petty 🍷 how are y’all???
Work isn't vibing with me today. Does anyone have pictures of small wild animals being gently grisped by human hands, unharmed but looking very displeased about it. Like little birds and small mammals being held like this.
I'm glad that this was the post where everyone understood the assignment. Great work from everyone in the reblogs, but you get a bonus for having two!

Today I gave my students a quick presentation on some of the basic considerations for composition, which I am now sharing with you! I’ve given them separate talks about color and tonal value/contrast, which are also super important compositional concerns. (I’ll be sharing those presentations too once I properly format them)
I personally love learning about different compositional techniques. It’s fun to think about the ways that the brain views & sorts images, and how we can trick it into feeling a certain way or looking at certain aspects of an image first! It’s easy to fall into compositional ruts (which I am also guilty of) because a lot of art gets by with mediocre, though serviceable, compositions. If you can generally understand what’s happening in an image then it’s generally fine. However, it’s the truly great compositions, where everything in the whole image has been considered and ‘clicks’ together, that bump up an illustration to a visual slam dunk. NC Wyeth is one of my favorite artists for this reason: his compositions are rock solid, varied based on the image’s intent, and always enhance the mood or action he is depicting.
For extra reading, some online compositional resources that I’ve found helpful or interesting include: Creative Illustration by Andrew Loomis (download it for FREE. Such a great book all-around.) Gurney Journey (check out the “Composition” tag, but really everything he posts is great) The Schweitzer guide to spotting tangents Cinemosaic (a blog by Lou Romano with some truly WONDERFUL compositions captured from various films) Where to Put the Cow by Anita Griffin
Happy composition-ing!
