I’m changing some facts in this AU:

- I’m giving Rodan the crown for a change. He’s always fought for it and he used to be Godzilla’s equal in the Showa Era, so I’ve inverted their dynamic in the Monsterverse.

- Mothra isn’t tyrannical. That’s out-of-character for her, so Battra will take on a Starscream-esque role.

- Godzilla isn’t humanity’s fault or any particular kaiju’s fault. He’s both of their faults—an fluke nobody wants to take responsibility for. He’s their entire conflict-of-interest given a face and a name.

I think the battle is long since lost on what the “-coded” suffix means, but I (old movie guy specifically invested in queer coding) seem to be unable to let go of how annoying I find the fuzzy popular use of the term. This is probably a flaw in my character.
