Hey uh, I don't like making call-out-type posts, but I feel like I need to say something and warn people.

I know it looks really promising, I fell for it too, but not only do they use genAI for coding (and probably other things), the husband of the creating duo is very pro-AI and super MAGA. Apparently the wife/main creator is "apolitical", but yeah.

Be careful guys. I know we're searching for a DOA replacement, but this is not the one.

I haven't done faceups in a long time. This lion has been waiting for a paint job for a long time but finally doing it lol.

Laying down some base ideas with watercolor pencils before I start with actual paint. I'll post the results after!

Socks as Doll Clothes

I think using socks for doll clothes is a pretty universal experience when you're first starting out creating a wardrobe. I personally love pushing the boundaries working within the medium to evoke knit fabrics in a doll scale to create more sophisticated pieces, make items not normally associated with doll sock fashion such as pants, and getting meta with dolls wearing effigies of themselves or creating socks... out of socks.

Too often the sock dress is sometimes relegated to the realm of the beginner, unable to achive a more sophisticated look that most adult collectors are drawn to. I feel socks can be one of the most versatile weapon in a doll sewist's arsenal:

I'd make me really happy if others would reblog this with the the doll clothes they've made! I've seen some really amazing work in the 10 years I've been on dollblr and I'd love to see how other interpret a good sock!
