Whitaker is easily liked because he’s compliant. Santos isn’t easily liked because she’s defiant. The most well liked person in the room caring about the most “difficult” person to like as if it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. Everyone looking at him as if he were a saint for withstanding her, when to him she is his savior. Literally the most important platonic relationship on screen right now for me. Don’t look at me.

here’s my reasoning for will being so excited and happy to see max awake from her coma in s5 when they had very little interaction before then

bc to ME will and jane got super close in cali ofc, and jane talked about max all the time then (and during the time max was in a coma) because she missed her and that’s literally her best friend, so will had like,, adopted max as his best friend too on accident

so when she wakes up and will is a lot more comfortable around her than she remembers it being with him (they were friends before ofc, just not as close) and she’s like “hey cool. why tho?”

and will is like, “oh yeah sorry, jane talked about you so much i forgot we didn’t hang out that much before” (will and jane totally adopt each others mannerisms and act like things that happened to the other happened to the both of them. they are literally twins.)

and max is like,,, close to tears “yeah that’s totally cool and i feel completely normal about it”

and tHEN when she finds out that will likes mike she is SO DONE LMAO. like she already had to deal with her best friend dating this fucking loser,, now she has to do it AGAIN???? (she stops trying to break byler up when she realizes how different mike is with will)

anyway just jane and will and max being besties
